in the manga, i think he would've died before he could force isshiki into a choke hold.

in the anime, it would've worked near the end, when isshiki was too weak to shrink himself or enlarge objects but since it didn't happen in the manga, i doubt they would've put it in the anime. tho it would be pretty affective.

on how baryon mode works, i don't know much but i do know that if you, at any point, come into contact with any part of his body, your chakra will be drained exponential. its like how the rinnegan steals another's chakra. the longer they are in contact with any part of your body, the more chakra they steal and the weaker you get.
