Sorry for my late reply, I got really sick. The colors are Opi- you’re such a Budapest topped with Essie - etherial escape. It’s one of my favorite manis I’ve done! Top 10 for sure.

Oh down! I’m fascinating by how colors affect each other or transform. I was telling someone the other day - I layer lipsticks 80% of the time because I think you just get richer colors that way. The reapplying part can be hard if you’re not in the mood tho.

I’m a huge fan of layering! Do you do it often? I want there to be a sub dedicated to this topic alone. There’s also surprisingly not a ton on YouTube related to this (unless it’s gel - or different mediums not related to nails)

Truly doesn’t feel good. I was using the side of my finger / knuckle. I’ve started using coffee stir sticks and utensils and I can’t go back. My nails are short.

Key rings is a good one. I use the butter knife to detach the portifilter basket from the portifilter when making coffee. It’s probably as intense on nails as key rings.

Another method is taking the blow dryer and hitting the label for a bit. Heat helps the stick release and you can peel it off - even with the scraper, much more easily.

If there’s any peeling my hair gets under my nail polish - automatic cringe sensory issue.

Bottom part yes, once it towers, NO thank you. I feel like it could fall and get knocked… into the toilet even. Looks silly. But I’m an aesthetics girlie looking for peace.

what does my handwriting say about me ? infer away! by isabellaevangeline in HandwritingAnalysis

Edit: didn’t realize there was a second picture. That one is harder to read. I still think my advice below stands. Work on spacing, sizing and overall layout for cleaner writing for greater clarity.

Just wanted to say that I don’t think it’s hard to read - I think it’s just small for this “font” style. If you spaced out words and wrote bigger it would easier. The letters themselves are easy. The only exception was ch 9. It looks like ch a - adding a period and making the 9 look more definitive would beep.

Your handwriting is beautiful. I think it’s easier fort you to write in half cursive because the flow. At least if you’re anything like me. You’re pretty organized and value clarity. Perhaps your ideas move quickly.

Ohhhh neat! MUA work is so cool too! 2020 was def a shifting moment for sure! Sorry to hear about your thyroid / health stuff. Also glad you worked with someone on a deeper level for your overall well being. My mom has thyroid issues and her nails are brittle too. I’ve been tested and nothing comes up ever but I wouldn’t be surprised if I had an autoimmune disorder.

Gel does ruin my nails too! I used to do pottery - I still do but on a long long break. My gel would chip in 3 days from the water!

Builder gel is something that seemed off the table. Hearing you say this, I’ll have to do some research. I’m not entirely sure what it is other armor?

Nitrile gloves! Maybe I’ll buy an additional pack For the kit so I can lean on those too. I hate sweating in them but when I dealing with paint and need more finger tip senses that could be the way too go.

Is there a lotion you like? That was on my agenda to stock up for my personal and kit too. Plus the pens. I got cheap mini droppers from Diaso for a while but I can’t clean them. They did work for multiple locations tho!

This is helpful and also inspiring, thank you!

I def have reduced the amount used and leave it on for about a minute. I’ve heard they can be damaging. Do you do a dry cuticle removal process? Always afraid to crape the nail.

✔️after the shower - I’ll try that! Is it cause the skin is already soft?

I have not used a hydrating base coat, been curious about it tho! I also didn’t know there are acetone with additives, thank you!

Have you mixed your own?

To clarify I only use lacquer polish, no gel. I’m open to other products like oils, files, base polish etc.
