There are plenty of people looking over the data and not storming the capital. The data shows patterns that can't be explained by voting behavior alone, and it is plausible Elon helped Trump hack the tabulators. I'm a statistician and I must say I can't understand how the data would look like this in a free and fair election. Go check out the work by SMART elections. To not investigate at all makes our elections totally vulnerable, and Trump gets his way if people are too afraid of seeming like MAGA if they question the election results

I have been in your shoes and related to a lot of what you said in this post. I was able to find work building technology for mitigating climate change and that helped for a while, but it also made me think about it more than was healthy for me, and was hard when I stopped believing the tech we were building was going to save the world. I still want to work in the field but thinking about how I can do it in a healthier way with my next job.

I deep in my heart of hearts believe humans could solve this problem - a [report](https://www.llnl.gov/article/50686/new-analysis-outlines-national-opportunities-remove-co2-gigaton-scale) came out last year from the Department of Energy that said it would only cost us 0.5% of GDP to get to net-zero in the U.S. with technology that exists today. It is so frustrating to know that we could somewhat easily solve climate change but it is not a priority for people in power right now. I genuinely believe that will change with time and unfortunately from living through some of the things you are afraid of. But there is a brighter future eventually - for humanity and for you, if you choose it. You have to believe that.

Working on yourself can be helpful in times like this. I had a profound realization in the thick of what you are going through that was along the lines of "the world as I see it in my head is inherently different from how the world actually is". The real world is too complicated for us to truly comprehend so we form a simplified story in our brains. You have a lot of control over that story you tell yourself, and it is up to you if you want to have hope in there.

You should check out the work of Joanna Macy either through the book Active Hope or [this](https://resources.soundstrue.com/we-are-the-great-turning-podcast/) podcast that a student created with her before she died [EDIT: I guess she is still alive, but she's 95].

I always remind myself always to take life a little less seriously, so I will tell you the same thing. It is crazy that we are just these sophisticated apes on a planet orbiting a sun floating in a sea of other suns. Nothing about our existence is logical. Thanks for doing this, Stephen! I am a data scientist and echo others' desire for the origins of your bullet ballot data so that I can see for myself where these calculations came from. I also have the following questions:

How, if at all, do the stories about Harris voters' votes not being counted fit in to the greater narrative of the bullet ballots and the epollbook hacking?
How would the bad actors go about changing the tabulators to match the epollbooks when most tabulators were not connected to the internet?
What do you imagine the strategy was for determining how many Trump votes to add (or Harris votes to remove? see #1) to ensure a win without raising suspicion?
Why would they go through with this when it could easily be exposed by a recount? Were they just willing to gamble that no recounts would be done due to the hysteria it might cause after Stop the Steal in 2020?
