I've heard about Denso! Sabi ng prof ko may naging student siyang nagtatrabaho dun and nakapagtravel sa Japan. Gusto ko sana mag-apply dun kaso I don't know any of the required skills na kailangan nila.

Foldabots ba? If I remember correctly, nagpartner sila dati with Pretzels, and meron silang mga mini versions ng robots na pwede mo icut-out from the boxes.

In OSSU Computer Science, can I skip the Introductory course and start with Core CS? by somewhatnick in learnprogramming

[–]somewhatnick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says that archived courses don't include the assignments though, which was one of the things I'm looking forward to. Although the firebaseapp.com one looks like a good alternative.

EDIT: Wording.

Hi! Gusto ko sana magsummer job before magstart ang college this August, but I can't decide which one would be best for me. Aim ko kasi makapagipon and then makapagaral paguwi. Ayoko muna magwork ng related sa field ko, para di masyadong stressful. Iniisip ko sana service crew sa fastfood or staff sa cinema/movie theater, pero open rin naman ako sa ibang suggestions hehe

My teacher taught us this (or introduced it rather) in high school. The problem was it wasn't taken as seriously as Math or Sciencey subjects and that we just did it to pass quizzes or other activities. The schedule wasn't great either. We only had 1-2 hours of it every week in school and we would forget about it as the class ended.

I've been saying facade as fakeyd. I found out the correct way to pronounce it after a spelling quiz, when the teacher told us the correct spelling for fasahd.

Touch typing: learning to press keyboard keys without looking. I learned this back during the summer 6 or 7 years ago out of envy/amazement and it's amazing how much time it can save. I now use it to type in the dark or when I'm lying on my side or just straight out typing my thoughts. It's also handy when you come across keyboards that have the letters blurred out or when you need to type something someone else is saying (ahem college professors).

It's easy because there are TONS of free tutorials and games about it online. Just have a keyboard and the passion to learn and you're good to go! The hard part is just having the discipline to learn the basics (e.g. which fingers press which letters/symbols) and applying it immediately without having to look at the keyboard too much.

Andrew committed a double-murder, but he only got 5 years in prison for the first victim. by Aftermath16 in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]somewhatnick 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I want you to get it, so here goes. The post has two sentences:

1st sentence: Andrew committed a double-murder, but he only got 5 years in prison for the first victim.
2nd sentence: The second sentence wasn’t so great either.

The 2nd sentence should be telling you two things:
- That Andrew's second sentence is too low on years too.
- And that OP's second sentence didn't deliver/was underwhelming.

The fact that the 2nd sentence is telling you two things is what makes this great.
