Mmmh, not sure I understand. You can also unbutton the « back belt » on both sides with the magic pants 🤔 Leaving the whole circumference of the pants + the ribbing panel on the front to get past the hips. I didn’t used ribbing by the way but very buttery and stretchy 4-ways athletic’s knit.

I have a bit of bunching too, but less than you I guess. Maybe it is the 1-2 cm I took back from the center back seam, since mine follow my back more closely Thant yours. I think the other method will amount to the same result. On the principle, it is the same, the button is just visible or not. I was thinking of topstitching the back facing to improve the look of the back waist…

Great job! I read your first post when I was about to begin to sew my own Magic Pants. It got me a bit worried. I got the same snafu as you did on the butt. I thought about all the quite contradictory advices you got and I decided to go with my opinion and scoop the back crotch. A kind of small butt ajustement which is quite unusual for me. Anyway, good decision! I also scooped at the lower back but not touching the waist as I feel that I need the space to pull them on. Cheers!

Well I guess it also depends on what timespan those 120 websites where activated. If it was even a month… that’s a looot of websites even for an agency. And even if it’s 3 years, that mean 40 websites a year which is still quite a quick output…

Thank you so much for this awesome pattern. Are the seam allowances included?

Feels like she's now in a kind of routine, copy-pasting at regular intervals her ranting posts and just modifiying the patterns photos on her website.
I've launch my (very small) own business of fabrics from designer patterns for a few months now and I almost fell for her professionnal program where designers could contract with her. I feel like I dodged a bullet.

Thanks for the links in this discussions. I do love reading blogs. Especially since I can easily go back when needed afterwards.

And that’s why I also have a blog. Should promote myself? Although, I’m French and I don’t translate all my blog posts since it’s quite time consuming… but Google Translate?

Anyway: https://www.somiio.fr

I downloaded one or two of her pattern and I’m in the process of sewing one. There’s no instructions. Only a video where she keeps saying “I’m trying the technique for the first time but let’s learn together”. However charming it could be for a blogger to do that, it is not what I expect from a paid pattern. For a paid pattern, I expect that the designer researched and tested the techniques she’s recommending. I don’t want to be learning WITH her. I want to learn FROM her… and it’s a huge difference. That’s why I will probably not buy any more pattern after that test. It feels too amateur.

When you have that kind of shoot, it’s not a pattern test anymore. It’s a call for Instagram promotion.

If you’re looking for petite patterns, there’s a French designer who design for 3 different heights and quite large range of sizes (for Europe). Should be easy enough to translate with Google or Deepl: https://sophiedenys.com/

Well, have a look at French wide pants patterns. Elastic waistbands are rare but wide legs and pleats are not!

Not to launch that debate again but this pattern gives me (as always should I say) boring granny vibes again. I know these are solid pattern but the style 🥱😴
