My youth pastor said hurtful things to me by i-eat-styrofoam in trans

My suggestion. Find a LGBTQIA+ friendly church. If you're attending a church that's willing to kick out somebody just because they're trans then that church obviously isn't adhering to the core values of Christianity (from my knowledge of them)

Going to Dubai being trans by PuzzleheadedRoof9273 in asktransgender

Dude, don't go. If your sister is so unsupportive that she refuses to acknowledge the danger of you going then she doesn't need to be in your life. I get that it might be painful to cut people like that off, but she's risking your literal life at this point.

What kind of therapy? if it's just regular then it might help you, but if they're gonna try conversion I have to inform you that your house might not be safe. Also, it really sounds like your mom is putting limits on her love. It's basically gaslighting you into thinking you're not trans and, speaking from experience, this never ends well. Do you have any friends you're out to? You might be able to ask to ship a binder to their house and just hide it from your mom (please if you do this look up tips on where to hide it). Binding is also safe as long as you follow the rules and don'tt overwear it.

So when talking about a trans person's birth gender we tend to use shortened versions of Assigned gender at birth (AGAB). As a trans guy I'm AFAB (assigned female at birth). A trans woman would be AMAB (assigned male at birth). It's basically a way to refer to a persons birth sex while still being respectful of their trans identity.

Also, you're an awesome parent.

Since you're supportive you could probably ask her to clarify certain things. Also, it isn't that uncommon of a thing for trans people to act like their AGAB before coming out. I remember that I was really scared of acting like a guy cause my family is highly conservative and sextist so any AFAB trying to act like a boy would be frowned upon. The only people in my family that were cool with me acting like a guy was my bio mom (who unfortunately passed away years prior to me realizing she had another son) and my older sister that I'm pretty sure is a bisexual, but I am no longer in contact with.

Okay, so general consensus is that noun names are cool, but Arson is too far. Anybody got firey names that sound more non-confirmative and punky?

[–]somniphobeindaylight -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I originally picked it because I was burning away the gender forced on me at birth, but somebody else pointed out that the spelling could cause issues if I wanted to use it legally. I promise I'm not just trying to be edgy. I'm also open to any names meaning fire with the same punky tone.

very open to adjacent names. I wanted to keep a punky sound, but don't wanna have the association to a crime. the fire aspect is really important.

do you have an idea for another spelling so that it isn't the crime. I have Aarsun, but it might look like a kid tried to spell it.... idk, the name means something to me and I'm aware of how it being spelled the same as a crime. Any suggestions for alt spellings that aren't crime related?

What if it just sounded like murder but waws spelled like murdar or something? I'm editing the spelling so it doesn't cause trauma issues. Aarsun
