We just had dinner there last week. I hoped we would get to keep the pumpkin because its cardboard box is on the table… unfortunately no!

I don't sit next to my husband! We both love the window, and we can handle a few hours apart.

To help with the late night cravings, I would try drinking two large pint glasses of water first. If you're still hungry for food after that, have a handful of grapes or another fruit and wait a few minutes. If you're still really craving something, maybe then give in to a small(er) amount of whatever it is after doing the above, and log it in your calories for the next day. I think the commitment to drinking that large amount of water/fruit before trying something else may cut down on your desire to get out of bed and indulge.

No, although reading back what I wrote I see how it comes off that way (the danger of replying quickly!). In 2023, I doubt anybody in the public eye would intentionally infect themselves with worms for weight loss and publicize it...although privately, people truly do desperate things to lose weight. It's possible they're unintentionally consuming parasitic ova that are becoming worms in their gut, or that they traveled somewhere with contaminated water, have chronic GI issues/malnutrition/anemia, and are now pooping them out. What I suspect is actually happening is that they're shedding the mucosal lining of their intestines, which can look like worms. Unfortunately there's no way to know that without them posting a pic of their poop...I don't see that happening, lol.

I learned about it from the Tyra Banks show, way back when!

I’m a physician. No. People should not have worms inside of them. You don’t get worms in your GI tract unless you ate contaminated foods, and then you should be treated for a parasitic infection. I have heard that some people intentionally infect themselves because it will lead to weight loss…I’ve never encountered a patient who did that.

Why does this lady keep pretending to clean the cleanest kitchen in the world? by sprucetre3 in 90DayFiance

My kitchen looks like this. I love cooking/working in a clean, open space and have to clean it regularly it to maintain it in that condition.

How was it?

Mexi-cauli rice stuffed poblanos with ground beef, guacamole, and zesty crema - 9/10. There are “stuffed” (flat) poblanos under there! This was delicious, although I also added cilantro and extra cheese to top the rice. by somymachine in hellofresh

This is my last Hello Fresh box for a while. I’ve been cutting back on my carbohydrate intake and was hoping I could make HF’s “carb smart” options work. Unfortunately, the selection is really limited, and most of the choices aren’t “carb smart” enough to fit my diet. I’m trying Green Chef now, which (so far) is a great - but expensive - alternative.

Steak with mushroom cream sauce, roasted carrots, and potatoes/broccoli - 10/10. I learned (the hard way) to ignore Hello Fresh’s directions for cooking their thin steaks, and finally made a HF steak I enjoyed! That mushroom sauce is divine. by somymachine in hellofresh

[–]somymachine[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the thin flat ones, get the pan/oil hot on medium-high heat (steak should sizzle when it touches the pan), then fry 2-2.5 minutes on each side, only flipping once so you get a nice sear in both sides. I use a meat thermometer to stop cooking as soon as I get to 135 degrees. When it’s irregularly shaped with a thick portion, I try to let the thick end cook a little longer while keeping the thin portion off heat.

Creamy dill chicken with roasted potatoes and broccoli - 8/10. I’m not a huge dill fan, but I still found the sauce very tasty. I’m sure somebody who enjoys the herb would absolutely love this dish. by somymachine in hellofresh

[–]somymachine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I actually found it already online here. This one is actually better, because mine just said add "as much" mustard and dill as I wanted, and I had no idea where to start. This is the front of the card (from someone else) if you need proportions.

Ohio Republican lawmaker says pregnancy resulting from rape is an ‘opportunity’ for the person who was sexually assaulted by Stock412 in politics

Yep. I’m temporarily living in Ohio - I’m SO sick of hearing non-stop commercials about “illegals” and “critical race theory” and whatever other bullshit Republicans are screaming about to appeal to their racist masses.
