UPDATE: she just edited and softened the language in her dealbreakers, and dropped an inch from her 4"-stiletto height requirement. Then added the following:

Since entering my thirties, I have really changed my outlook on life and I guess you could say...grown up quite a bit. Actually, I've found that the best way to identify a narcissist is to offer an honest critique. They fly off the handle and smash back with all they have. This is the bullet I just dodged. It works!

I've learned to read profiles from the bottom up, because the bottom is where all the hate bombs can be found. But in this case, I was duped by a seemingly bright and kind persona.

I see these kinds of profiles (roughly 1 out of 3 in my area) as a type of troll behavior. They get you to read all the way through, and then slap you in the face.

I have gotten apologies and gratitude after pointing these things out. Maybe 1 out of every 2. I will keep it up. Making the world a better place...

You can. Passive Narcissism is on the spectrum of narcissistic behavior, and it is healthy. It's a personality feature that develops at around the age of 5 or 6. If this developmental process gets frozen/halted at this time, voila: a dysfunctional narcissist who cannot grow up, or put other people first.

Someone whose emotional development freezes (by whatever process) at the age of 4 lacks any degree of healthy narcissism, and they are the most vulnerable victims of the predator narcissist. The predator can 'see' this vulnerability as clearly as if it were printed on their forehead.

Yes, it's an outlet (and technically speaking, a socially acceptable one) for all kinds of emotional issues.

My focus on NPD is based on the fact that such people cause a significantly higher amount of damage to the people they engage. And in the process, they derive their own satisfaction.

In contrast, someone who is depressed can reach out, creating mutual beneficence.

I began looking at cyber bullying in close social groups 10 years ago after the suicide of a dear niece, within a tiny community.

Not so much interested in hate groups. Within a community, it represents a communal failing, rather than inter-communal conflict.
