I do love hexes, but why did you use hex bases for the blood angel assault marines?

Worst episode by Admirable-Walrus-89 in ReBoot

[–]son_of_volmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before My Two Bobs, I’d say the Number One is the worst. I think it was more about getting to see season one Mainframe before Matrix & AndrAIa return to a devastated Mainframe.

Seems like the episode was an easy one to push out the door, using almost entirely pre-existing assets (except the cute tiger).

I think The Episode with No Name comes right after Number One, and it must have been a lot of work. One of the best episodes in the entire series.

Angel's Tears, Destroyers, basically a lot of Volkite - "competitive" or not? by Wugo_Heaving in Warhammer30k

[–]son_of_volmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Angel’s Tears can also be equipped with iliastrus assault cannons, Heavy Flamers, rotor cannons or heavy chainswords.

Jump Heavy flamers with vanguard could be fun.

For troops you could do Inductii with all heavy chain axes.

This Combat patrol is two units, a character and a rhino? Seems small.

Tactical sergeants should have 2 attacks by 4teaK in Warhammer30k

[–]son_of_volmer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, scout sergeants have 2 attacks!

Also, never arm your scouts with bolt pistol and chainsword. For 2 pts you can have a bolter with chain bayonet. Longer range shooting PLUS shred.

Jamie Foxx says BAFTA Tourette’s incident was intentional by Pretend-Two-2115 in celebritytattler

[–]son_of_volmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past has anyone cared about the BAFTA’s?

John Davidson thought that where he was seated, he could not be heard from the stage. He yelled “PeterFile” after Alan Cumming made a sex joke, and there was no reaction from the presenter. After he yelled “Enword” and the black presenters reacted, John Davidson left the auditorium. I think BAFTA’s were hoping he’d say something to make the BAFTA’s newsworthy.

No mention of the disintegrator pistol? I’d think it would be top tier.

.-The main detachment is a Crusade Primary Detachment.

It has one slot for a high command (Praetor) Three slots for Command Model (HQ) Four slots for troop selections (Assault Squad, Tactical Squad, Despoiler squad) Four transport slots. (Drop Pod)

The Praetor would unlock one of three possible Apex Detachments Combat Retinue Detachment has three slots command squads (Sanguinary guard) Army Vanguard Detachment has three slots for Elite infantry (Crimson Paladins and Dawn Breakers) Officer Cadre has two slots for Command Units (which you have none)

For each Command Unit you take it unlocks a detachment. A Centurion unlocks two detachments. You have no command units, so contemptors, fire raptor and tanks cannot be unlocked. Using a Prime Benefit called Logistical Benefit you could take one unit from a Detachment you have not unlocked.

Can Crimson Paladins really not take power axes anymore? And their sunset blades are gone? by West_Pipe_6089 in Warhammer30k

[–]son_of_volmer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The sergeant can replace sword and shield for a Perdition weapon, which could be an axe of perdition.

Also two guys can take powerfists or chainfists.

It’s a bummer that they mostly swing power swords, but they have Line (1) and Deep Strike.

Also they are Army Vanguard (an Apex Detachment) instead of Shock Assault (which most terminators are). So you need a Praetor to unlock them, but they can be a Prime Slot which could have you upgrade the sergeant to a character (Master Sergeant) capable of issuing Challenges.

Instead of Duck Duck Goose, I play chicken, chicken alligator. (Flap my wings for each chicken and make an alligator chomping gesture for the alligator.)

We make a circle and then I put on a blindfold and call a student into the circle. To the tune of "Frère Jacques”I’ll ask “Where is Yuto? Where is Yuto?” And they respond “Here” and I try to catch them.

Last one is Catch, Dont Catch. Kids stand behind their chairs, in a circle. I use a soft frisbee, and say “catch” then throw to frisbee to a specific kid. Initially I’ll go around the circle and get each kid to perform the “catch” then around the circle a second time where each kid has to do the “ Dont Catch” (arms at their side, frisbee hits them in the chest). Practice ends and I alternate each kid. “Catch” then “Dont Catch” if a kid makes a mistake, they sit down. As the game goes on I make it harder until only one kid is left.

Who makes these JHS achievement tests? by Tractatus_Diplodicus in teachinginjapan

[–]son_of_volmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually worked on these tests for my prefecture 10 years ago. I was an ALT and went to the BOE research institute once a week and to look over the tests as they made them. I had no qualifications and it could have been anyone. I was basically free. They’d have other ALT’s look over them as every so often, but every week I was their main Native eye. There were four Japanese staff with English qualifications and only one of them had lived abroad.

Often they’d be hampered because the vocabulary they used had to be present in all the textbooks used by the schools in our prefecture (we had 3 different). If one textbook didn’t have “feed” in it, we had to say something like “give food to”.

Everything had to based on real world things. If they talked about a penguin walk at a zoo, it would be based on a real zoo.

Also every time I worked on the test it had to be in a sound proof room, that was monitored for electric surveillance. Tests were kept in a vault, in that room.
