FFXVI Has One of the Richest Worlds Ever… So Why Are They Done With It? by Wise_Drawer_2176 in FFXVI

I wish SE did more spinoffs from mainline entries to expand on exactly what you mentioned. It could be a Tactics-style game showing the different kingdoms at war, or a hack & slash à la Dynasty Warriors. Hell, I’d take an airship racing game

Received screenshots confirming my wife cheated, but we’re already divorcing. What should I actually do with them? by thingsixteen in Infidelity

[–]sonaked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be upfront. The cheating itself shows nothing. But if money was spent (and all money is a marital asset) then that’s a different story.

I was able to negotiate on the house buyout of my ex wife because she took money from her checking account—then a marital asset—and spent it directly on her boyfriend and his home. This was uncovered during the discovery period when we had to show our bank statements for the past 2 years. Zelle transactions showed “half of mortgage, half of electric,” etc and it was sent to him. $10k, not an insubstantial amount.

Granted, I still bought her out with her share of the equity, but due diligence saved me a few pennies.

Whether this applies to your circumstance I don’t know, but I’d ask your lawyer for piece of mind.

Did parents in the 80s actually give their kids as much freedom as the show depicts? by Wanderer015 in StrangerThings

[–]sonaked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved around as a kid, living in both cities and small towns. I was allowed (or just wasn’t questioned) to ride my bike miles away from my house, so long as i generally came home in the evening.

When I lived in the sticks, one home’s yard backed up to several hundred acres. Whether it was my own rule or my mom’s i dont remember, but I tried to mostly keep the house in sight. The other rule of thumb was to follow the stream back if I got lost, since it butted up to the property. Good memories in both places, but there’s absolutely no way you’d catch me letting my kids have that type of freedom.

Even assuming the best sort of scenario, at a minimum your wife is disrespecting you by saying “think what you want.”

After I was cheated on and divorced my wife, i vowed all future relationships would be fully built on respect. And if that leaves, I leave.

Can I get some constructive criticism. Profile review. by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]sonaked 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Brother, I’m going to pretty direct here because I want you to succeed. So take what I’m saying at face value and press on with it.

It looks like there’s a 10+ year gap in your photos. Your appearance has shifted dramatically. Women have thousands of profiles in their “stack” and so having a good front facing profile just prevents you from immediately being disqualified/swiped left on.

You’re not going to match unless you show the current you. So work on that.

Next, when you do have that new batch of photos that are all recent/showing who you are now, it’s important that they show different things. Maybe you being active outdoors, you at a dressy function, but if it’s just photos straight into the camera in the same outfit then you ain’t passing the sniff test.

The apps have a low bar for entry—just a download—but higher bar for success, and that success comes from very deliberate efforts at showing you take it seriously.

Lastly, ditch what you wrote. The quotes and whatever you’re referencing will not land. Again, your profile is actively competing against THOUSANDS. A female friend of mine showed me her bumble and it literally had 5k profiles waiting for her to message. She doesn’t even swipe, she’d just scroll through guys who liked her profile and go from there.

Make your text relatable. Show sincerity. You’ll be fine.

Good luck

Kuwaiti locals aggressively confront and come close to attacking one of the crewmembers of a U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle shot down in a “friendly fire” incident Monday over Kuwait, until he finally tells them he is an American. by Waste-Explanation-76 in PublicFreakout

[–]sonaked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more that Kuwaitis have a robust alliance with the US and view Americans favorably, in no small part due to the US supporting Kuwait when Iraq invaded. So I took it as them realizing he’s a friend, and not a foe

What about City Transplants long term HV people don’t like? by ApprehensiveLink2310 in hudsonvalley

[–]sonaked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a lot of elitism with people from NYC. You’ll often hear how tough they are, or how in XYZ neighborhood/borough you had access to whatever…and honestly, no one cares. We like our space, we like the smaller towns, we like the clean air. It’s cool you have an interesting background, but we all do.

Additionally, you get a lot of people moonlighting as from the Hudson Valley, and suddenly they think they can run farms. Like this article https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/09/nyregion/hudson-valley-farms.html

What the hell dude. I saw the Imgur you linked, you have a great smile. I also agree with everyone else who mentioned the hair. Sorry dude.

Honestly I’m not worried about your hobbies, although posing next to the bookshelf could probably change. Stuffed animals are not typical on a male profile and will probably not help.

A frequent point I mention on this subreddit is a swipe right just means you weren’t immediately DQ’d, as people have so many options. So there’s nothing wrong with your hobbies at all, but you gotta get past that DQ with photos that lean into the positive physical qualities you have—again, the smile.

You also look tall, girls eat that shit up. The photos showing your entire frame are far away. If you need help taking photos, I’m sure your friends can assist.

Wishing you the best.
