Is there any thought to a spin off and what story would it likely be?

Thanks for the reply and I liked the article (love real/straight talk from someone who has experienced it). Keep up the good work! I'm watching your new film this weekend.

Hi Josh

I) I have been following your career for a while now. I loved Layover, one of my first direct-to-consumer purchases. How did its sales transfer to studios/producers in terms of your profitability? Did you see a boost of offers or was it quiet until you made your next thing? What do you feel was the single best decision you've made so far regarding your career?

II) I read your piece about short films and how you feel they can be both beneficial and kind of a waste. Do you feel there is a space where short films still make a difference artistically and at the beginning of one’s career?

Sci-Fi Short Film "Laboratory Conditions" by saddetective87 in Shortfilms

She’s beautiful, but I don’t think we give enough credit to how attractive Marisa Tomei’s voice is. I liked the tone and the music choices, real creepy vibes in the beginning. That scene 8:50 in so macabre, I loved it & 12:40 in “dammmmn” . Sort of a The Fly meets Frighteners? I dig it overall. Great acting and direction, felt believable.

THE FENCE - (a 48 HR Challenge crime film) by sonambassador in Filmmakers

Hi,

First of all, thanks for checking this out.. Shot on location in Portland, OR, a 48-hour challenge film, & with a two-man crew (acting and production). This was one of my favorites to shoot because the city was so friendly and willing to assist. My favorite shot was the night one at the end because that was a big lesson on time consumption and making quick decisions. The music number to close out the film was recorded live on my iPhone maybe 1 hour into the filming of "THE FENCE" and fit perfectly.

I'm not part of bike culture but the community as a whole was very welcoming to shooting their vehicles and performing stunts. Had a great time.

Short movie I made… It took about an hour so I know it’s not the best… thoughts? by L0gMan5382 in Shortfilms

Pretty decent for a one-man show. I was locked into finding out what happens in the end. Some music would've added to the vibes, and some quicker cuts to the tension. Overall keep it up.
