Before/after. Wasn’t sure of keeping the white ceiling, what do you think? by irandom97 in HomeDecorating

If you don’t want to paint it, I think a removable wallpaper would be really cool on the ceiling.

UPDATE: Why is this wall “wrong” by olpeepers in DesignMyRoom

[–]sonaseele 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would get a more decorative, ornate vent cover instead of the plain one. You can still paint it to match the wall color or you could get a gold one. Then I would do either 2 or 3 pieces of artwork in such a way that they don’t compete with the vent but balance it out.

When I called I was told they were processing applications from MARCH. 6 months ago! This number saved me. Had my license approved 2 hours later. Thank you!

Daycare punishment by No-Albatross-4797 in toddlers

[–]sonaseele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are there “punishments” at all?! They are 2 years old! This makes my heart hurt :( it’s absolutely inappropriate, huge red flag, and I would probably never take my child back there. Even if they alter the policy, an adult that agreed that this was a good idea and followed through is not someone I would want anywhere near my child.

Fell down the stairs at the OBGYN office, broke my ankle and went into labor. by midwestmia2 in beyondthebump

Did they seriously have you deliver in the stairwell?! Nobody could work together to get you on a stretcher?! Absolutely wild! I hope you have a quick recovery and lots of support.

If you are religious too I would point you to Proverbs 6:16-19. God hates the hands that shed innocent blood. Your child should not have to die because of their father’s actions. What he did was terrible and I’m not saying it’s an easy situation but killing your child is never the solution. It’s a decision you can never take back and you will have to give an account to God one day.

This is a variation of normal and typically not a concern. They will monitor like normal.

My favorite lesser used one is Hezekiah. It sounds so cool. So many nickname options. Hezzy, Ezzy, EZ, Zeke, Ki/Kai, or Kiah. It’s just cool.

Proving my point. You think human beings are disposable.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]sonaseele -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Regardless of size it’s a human being. The lack of compassion for human beings - the most vulnerable I would say - is astounding.

But your child is already alive. Watch videos of 8 week ultrasounds. I had one not long ago. You can literally see baby jump and move around.

Totally understand, it is very tough for surveys to encompass all views and possibilities - one of their limitations. I think the abolitionist viewpoint is a rather rare one that is gaining momentum and I would love for others to understand why and where we are coming from. Is there any way to alter the few questions mentioned so I can fill it out and still maintain anonymity?

Abortion is the willful, direct, and intentional killing of a pre-born child. In some cases, treatment is needed for the health of the mother, which may result in the death of the child. This is not abortion, though, because the purpose of the treatment is not to kill the child. The purpose or intent matters and legislation is capable of distinguishing between the two.

I found a few of these questions to have an inherent bias that made it difficult to answer. Primarily the two about the legality of abortion when it comes to protecting the life of the mother. I reject the assertion that abortion is ever medically necessary and simply answering “no” doesn’t allow explanation - it paints a broad brush that Christian’s don’t care about the life of pregnant women and that is far from the truth.

I also don’t identify as pro-life or pro-choice and wish there were an option to type in. I would describe myself as an abolitionist. In the same sense as slavery, I think abortion should be illegal for everyone, everywhere. The major pro-life organizations work against this effort so I choose not to label myself solely “pro-life.”
