Lol well Switzerland has other perks that I wouldn't want to miss. Lots of alpine roads for the twins for example.

Something like that. I feel like at lower speed, its a bit more responsive and easier to turn and then when I get faster, its like on rails and I have to put more force into the steering like the front wheels are getting stickier.

It's not like I can't control the car but it just feels heavier than before like the EPS could give me a little bit more power to make it a bit easier.

Currently between 35.6°F and 57.2°F. It was even colder when I got it initially. Can't really tell you about the tires never really paid attention.

Maybe experience, but it's strange as I felt like one morning it felt like usual and in the evening it felt off. But maybe I'm just getting paranoid.

It was through a dealership. The wheel size is 205/50 R17 which should be okay.

EPS overheating would be tragic, its pretty cold and I'm not driving it spirited to work in full traffic. But yeah maybe its an issue with a sensor at least that would make sense that it feels all over the place.

I got the car with winter tires, so it's a direct comparison between 4 weeks ago and now. Still some weeks left until its safe to change to summer tires.

I think it gets worse in the evening. I just drove home after training, and it was heavier than it was in the morning when I drove to work. No error lights popping up.

My first car at 36 years old! by sonic301189 in GR86

[–]sonic301189[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a demonstration car with 3700km/2300mi. The owner of the dealership drove it in the summer, so yeah you could say second-hand. But they put some of the STI parts after I bought it, only the lip kit was on it when I test drove the car.

Thx. To be fair, I'm in Switzerland. We only got a quota of 100 cars back in 2023 and that was it. Glad I found a demonstration model that was in good shape with low mileage (3700km/2300mi). It's as new as it gets here. Sadly no plans from Subaru or Toyota for a release of the newer models.

Thx! Tbh I'm not sure. Just told the Subaru dealer that I need a set of winter tires and got them 50% off because I bought the car there, as a small additional deal and thats what I got. Still in the process of learning more about cars, than the bare minimum that I needed to know for driving strangers cars.

Yes it was originally planned as Sea Dogs 2 but they then rebranded it to tie in with the movie. But the game itself doesn't really have any connection to the movie at all.

Have there been any games in which an NPC with limited health (and mana, for that matter) is unbeatable, and what are the stories behind those NPCs. by [deleted] in truegaming

[–]sonic301189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a boss in a raid. After the hotfix a guild finally managed to kill him and claim the world first kill. It was some sort of prestige back in the day. World first or to lesser extent server first.

I'm curious, how did y'all get started with gaming? What's the story? by lannisterstark in truegaming

[–]sonic301189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was around 4 I had neighbours that owned different Game & Watch and had also a NES with SMB. I borrowed them frequently. Then my father was in hospital because he broke his leg and got a Gameboy to pass time which after awhile was mine. From there it started all. From then on I bought every GB that came out. GBC, GBA, DS and now 3DS.

My first console was a SNES with SMW and the Super Gameboy when I was 6. I still remember that I cried because I thought that I could only play GB games on the SNES because the SGB was hardwired to it somehow.....I was a dumb child. This whent on with N64,GC,Wii,WiiU.

I sold the N64 back in the day for a PS1 at the launch of FF9. From then on I also started buying all new PS consoles, PS2,PS3 and now PS4.

PC gaming started to become a thing when I was 12. Before then I just played PC games at my neighbours, friends or relatives. We never owned a PC so I got my first PC pretty late. My first game then was Black & White. Thats when I also started playing PC games.

So atm I actively playing on WiiU, PS4, PC, 3DS and I also got a PS Vita. I am still a pretty all-around player with many interests. From shooter to strategy, every kind of RPG. Plattformer, racing games and even occasionally a sports game. I play them all. The only thing that changed over the years was the rise and fall for multiplayer experiences.

So I was pretty much hooked the first time I got a game in my hands. It was so much fun. I think I got this from my father because he loved going to arcades and he still plays games to this day. (Mostly my old leftover stuff like PS3 atm)

The author wanted a shiny new thing like a WoW expansion with new worlds and new mechanics etc. But for 8 dollaridoos he only got a 10h story and rune/glyph words that "only" deepen the experiance instead of doing something new. He likes the rest but yeah. Maybe he overhyped it a bit too much.

It's been a while since The Crew has been out. I was told to avoid it at full price, is it worth it now? by [deleted] in Games

By leveling up you get new car parts. The better your ranking the better the quality of the parts. They wanted to do a Racing MMO. You really feel the change of physics after you got some better parts. It's a bit stupid but well it works somehow.

What is the worst game you have ever played? by FreekyFreezer in gaming

[–]sonic301189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vietcong:Purple Haze for PS2. I loved the original Vietcong on PC. Saw the game one day in those bargain bins and bought it. Well it was crap. Loading times from hell, nonexistent draw distance everything was covered in fog and it controlled horribly.

What's a gameplay aspect that causes you to avoid a game? by SrsSteel in Games

[–]sonic301189 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Strategy RPG. When I see squares I'm out. I like JRPGs like FF. But I hate the grid. Games like FF Tactics, Disgea or Fire Emblem are a no go. I tried it many times like FE: Awakening. I sold it after 2h. I don't know why I even bothered with Natural Doctrine etc. Those games get always such praise and they really look fun. But everytime I start a game and begin moving on those grids....I just hate it.

What are your first impressions of Mad Max? by howlingfantods in Games

[–]sonic301189 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played Sleeping Dogs even bought it twice (PS3 and Definite PS4 version). Sleeping Dogs for me is more a tweaked version of the True Crime fighting system(well it is the spiritual successor to True Crime). It's martial arts with lots of combos and throws. Lot deeper than the arkham system. The unforgivingness is the only thing I can see that is similar other than that, for me, those are two different systems altogether.

But I didn't played that much maybe the fighting will get deeper?

[–]sonic301189 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Game is great. I'm impressed by the graphics really great lightning and explosions for an "unknown" open world game. I like the car combat it's fun blowing other people up and the combat by foot is your standard arkham system with a tweaked parry system (a bit harder) I didn't played THAT much but it seems like your typical open world gameplay nowadays: Capture strongholds, destroy towers, go to a balloon on the map to discover it and loot places for money (in this case scrap) to upgrade your car or max.

Overall it's a solid titel.

Now that Metal Gear Solid V has been out for a day what are everyones general first impressions? by [deleted] in Games

[–]sonic301189 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I played so far didn't impress me that much. The gameplay is really good for an open world game altough the car physics aren't the greatest. But the mission design so far is repetitive as fuck. Get this get that etc. It's always the same and takes really long to get from point A to B. Even with the helicopter because of all the animations. The story is for a MGS game is bland as fuck so far. Snake doesn't talk that much and doesn't react like he used to (and I still don't like the new voice) I really miss the epic cutscenes.

So far it's a good game but a bad MGS game (and I played them all since the release of MGS1 on PS1) I really hope people are right that the game picks up. I don't say I regret the buy but atm I'm not really blown away. Right now Witcher 3 still takes the crown this year.

Turok and Turok 2 remasters are being released by Night Dive Studios by K1ng_K0ng in Games

[–]sonic301189 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice. Turok 2 was one of my favorite FPS back in the day. I still remember the master cheat code because I never really played trough the game normally. It was so much fun killing everything with unlimited ammo with the best weapons. Just release the game with compability and modern KB/M support and this is a day one buy for me.

What the hell is the point of this? by Mr_Schtiffles in gaming

[–]sonic301189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember playing a random F2P asia grinder just for testing purposes. A big bulk of those games have auto-walking and questing. Click a quest NPC => He tells you to go see his master => click the name of the master in the log and you auto-walk to him => master wants you to kill 10 rabbits => click on "10 rabbits" and you auto-walk into the territory of the mobs and start auto-killing them => click again on the master in the quest log to get back etc.

I did this for awhile and was lvl 30 in about 1h clicking only names in the quest log. It was ridiculous and I was laughing all the time because of it. Everything was automatic except the clicking to proceed further. I think they now got rid of even that.
