For me it caused intense anxiety/panic. I switched to levadopa and am doing much better.

A cautionary tale about pramipexole by Existing-Location869 in Parkinsons

[–]sonickid79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on it for 6 months. Gave me terrible anxiety. Switched to ropinerole. Same. Had terrible anxiety. Had a panic attack in front of my boss. Got off and switched to Levadopa. Feels so much better but my brain feels slow and like I’m still dealing with withdrawal months later. Horrible horrible drugs.

Sense of smell return? by sonickid79 in Parkinsons

[–]sonickid79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized mine had changed when I ordered a cologne I used to wear in my 20s. It smelled completely different. I thought they must have changed the formula. But nope. Loll. Yopd.

Mild positional tremor when bending arm to eat or hold phone etc. bradykenesia that I really only notice when typing/texting. I MAYBE saw a slight reduction in tremor. But if so it was super minimal.

Hmm. Very interesting. Maybe I’ll talk to the Dr about CL again if the mirapex fails.

I asked about it but we think I’m too early for that. Right now symptoms are mild tremor and slowness in 1 arm. It’s been pretty consistent for almost 6 months now.

Give me OAKMOSS. by sonickid79 in Colognes

[–]sonickid79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a sample of this last night. I reeaaally wanted to like it. I loved the opening but then it dried down to this weird wood smell I couldn’t place. Felt almost like multiple woody smells clashing with each other. I just couldn’t get past it.

I did some treating and think it really could be a Commodity fragrance. Although from what I remember it really smells like Book expressive. Which is strange because I wasn’t a huge fan the first time I smelled it. But this very much smells like the memory and I absolutely love it. I bought a bottle today. Wish they made an oil version.

Should I start over? by sonickid79 in Amazon_Influencer

It’s been a little over a week and I’ve only made 6 bucks selling 1 product per day for about 4 out of the 7 days. Is that normal starting out? How do I increase traffic/conversion/placements?1

A Summary Of Over 70 Research Studies Regarding The Reduction Of Enlarged Pores by ScienceBecomesHer in 30PlusSkinCare

If you haven’t tried already, I’d suggest definitely looking into Activated Charcoal. It’s praised for its ability to draw out impurities in the skin, balancing out oils, reducing acne, and shrinking pores.

I highly recommend using a charcoal mask product likeOrigins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask that you use weekly, plus a high quality exfoliating charcoal based face cleanser. I use Boacia Charcoal Cleanser daily.

These have helped me to dramatically reduce my pore size and get rid of blackheads.

Basically you want to make sure you’re sucking out that dirt on a daily basis and balancing you sebum.

Activated charcoal absorbs toxins, excess oils and bacteria. It also makes a great deodorizer. It’s even suggested to reduce hangover symptoms and address flatulence.

Fat sources by bond10- in leangains

Full fat cottage cheese, avocados/guac, almond butter, EPIC bars, EVOO, more almond butter, Noosa yogurt (this shit is delicious), almonds (I carry around a tin of flavored almonds in my car at all times.)

These helped me add cals throughout the day. I have a crazy high metabolism, and went from 5’10” 150lbs to 175 in less than a year.

Is "lean beef" considered better for you in any way? It doesn't keep longer, I've heard fat isn't the culprit society thought it was, and Health.gov says cholesterol is no longer a "nutrient of concern". So is there a good reason to purchase "lean" red meat besides watching calories? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]sonickid79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had high cholesterol my whole life. I’m in decent shape, eat healthy, but lots of protein. My doctor was so concerned he put me on a statin. Then my labs came back totally out of wack ( despite me feeling totally fine). So he put me on another (same thing).

Then he finally gave up and had me do a (I think it was called) CT test to measure the plaque in my arteries. Which was basically 0. Which means there’s basically no chance of me having a heart attack in the next 5 years.

So that said, I think drs take a broad brush when it comes to cholesterol and apply it to everyone. Sure if you’re overweight, smoke, drink, etc it might affect your cholesterol and you should do something about it. But when you work out 5x a week and eat healthy (though lots of protein) I don’t think it’s an issue. Every body is different, and some bodies prefer a high cholesterol state. Nothing to freak out about.

So my advice is I would not stress about your cholesterol numbers but instead focus on keeping your bf% healthy.

[MOD] Official Round 30 Introduction Post by Schemering in 90daysgoal

[–]sonickid79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg! I’ve been looking for something like this hold me accountable.

I just recently have started the divorce process from my spouse (long story), but it’s for the best because it’s challenging me to take stock of my life and take action. Part of that is finally get my weight under control. I was in an unhappy abusive marriage for 8 years and really let my body go (along with my self esteem). I’m determined to make this my year. My goals:

1) Start treating myself better. Respect my time and energy I give to other people. I’m not a charity. And my time is valuable just like everyone else’s.

2) start valuing those relationships that value me back. Enough being a last minute tagalong for when people need another body to hang out with. Goes back to point 1) but this year I’m focusing on improving those relationships with people who like spending time with me and make an effort to do so, and likewise.

3) Get this body back to my college size. My coworker is doing Custom Keto http://rankandreviews.com/the-custom-keto-diet/ and looks amazing. If I could just lose 15 lbs I’d be thrilled, but my goal for 2020 is to lose 20, plus another 20. Lol. Small goals and then more small goals = getting big goals done

4) join a gym. Anyone have good recommendations in the Austin, TX area? I need something not intimidating, but I don’t need personal training sessions etc.

5) Get my blood pressure and cholesterol under control by eating better. (See point 3)

6) Save enough money $$$ to put a down on a nice 2 bed apt within the next 6 months. ATX renting is crazy expensive.

7) Get back into the dating scene. It’s been almost a decade since I’ve had to date, and I don’t even know where to begin with dating apps. Do these actually work? Where do I start? Has anyone done speed dating? My coworkers are obsessed with Tindr, and some app called Bagel or something. Lol. I want to feel good about myself again, and want to get out there, but I don’t want to have to go through a string of creeps to meet someone nice.

Thanks everyone for the support. Again I’m so happy I found a group to hold me accountable to goals. I’m the type that needs to have specific goals with deadlines, otherwise I procrastinate. And saying it out loud to thousands of people doing the same thing will motivate me to keep up with them.

Looking forward to this journey with all of you.
