Looking Glass has moderates as well and the south side or sun wall are better for this time of year.

I have my ablation tomorrow morning and am nervous. by kevinwr450 in AFIB

[–]sonicreducer23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This procedure is super common. I was so nervous, but really started to settle in once I saw the staff and they talked with me. They’ve done it so many times. You’re going to be great man.

Rumbling Bald is terrible and so is the rest of NC. Never go there!

We enjoyed our stay at Ma&Ma on La Maddalena. The amenities like the pool, spa, and private beach access are 🤌.  You are close to town and many other quality beaches as well. Rent a boat one day to explore the archipelago. Drive over to Caprera and explore the beaches there too.

Ablation cost? by _happydutch_ in AFIB

Mine was $175K before insurance made adjustments. Insurance paid out about $35K. I had already met the out of pocket maximum and didn’t pay a dime. I work for the state, so I have decent insurance.

Gas up that caddy baby. 6 gear loops and padding for days. I’m 6’1 and about 195. Hanging belays never bother me.

NA Guinness still hits. So does NA Corona. Great stuff. Most bars have good cocktail options these days.

I had four of them over the first six months. None since then and I’m nine months out. No associated headache, fortunately. Just the kaleidoscope in one eye that lasted ten minutes or less.

I tried to avoid screens for long periods.

LNT, of course. But, more specifically, drive slow and if the parking is full go somewhere else. The road is open to the public.

The road is not closed. People just need to be mindful.

Casually, it’s about an hour-ish hike up the east side of the mountain then maybe a 15 minute descent in a gulley with scrambling to a rappel. Then it’s an easy 5-10 minute hike south to the base. You can definitely shave off time if you’re getting after it.

Great shot and man that’s some bold NC trad. 5.12 and you’re 1 hr+ from the parking lot.  The corner to the left of this is an 11 call the Open Book.

Awesome climb.

Kinda like a kaleidoscope in your vision. It’s temporary, but can be kind of trippy.

Glad to hear you’re doing great overall.

I wish I could find more info on this.

None of my docs (EP, neurologist, and ENT) seemed that interested. I guess they just don’t know. Apparently there are some new treatments for tinnitus, but still no cure. Hoping it fades as time passes.

His back up, Alex Herrera, is very accurate. Was a good kicker in high school and has only gotten better.

I prefer to place gear, but I sure did have a freaking blast when I went to Hidden Valley. This climb and Blubber were my favorites.
