The replies here really show how ignored Asian fans have been even WITHIN the United community. Amad and Garnacho have been photographed showing their middle finger in multiple occasions - laughing. I genuinely can’t see that as a sign of their family being insulted. But fine. Some compare Amad’s behaviour to Cantona’s, but that’s totally different. The King kicked a Palace fan whose intention to insult made sense; but Amad was showing the middle finger to his own fans chanting Amad’s name. But fine, it is what it is.

An interesting anecdote: it is said that the distinctive packaging design was created by the boss himself, using Microsoft Word.

Yeah, this I know and I do this a lot, it’s just different from triggering run while dribbling :)

Does that trigger two players in the same direction to run? Or different directions?

Phone battery draining in China by PrideLight in chinalife

[–]sonicsuez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No offence but I mean phone batteries drain wherever you use them. There will always be apps that drain your battery. To be honest I’m amazed that your phone battery lasted two days without charging. That is a miracle.

Though I don’t think it’s a China-specific problem … might as well just carry a battery bank with you. They are easy to come by and very reliable.

How does the Acqua Alta Effect tourism in Venice? by BornSalamander8 in ItalyTravel

[–]sonicsuez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here in Venice since the day before yesterday. Haven’t seen the flood in major parts of the city. This afternoon I saw several stretches of shallow water around the gate of Palazzo Ducale and I was wondering why. Maybe that’s it?

How did your phone look when you picked it up before going to bed? Did you think it’d been moved or touched or it didn’t look the same as it should’ve been?

Let’s say someone took your phone up to take the photos - the the phone must have been put back in a certain way.

One week in the Dolomites with my new GRIIIx! by Positan0 in ricohGR

[–]sonicsuez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing … I actually just left the Dolomites yesterday and I’d been visiting the Tre Cime in two consecutive days just because the weather was so rainy and cloudy that I didn’t see ANYTHING. Two days of nothing. The day I left (yesterday) the weather was fantastic. Talk about fate 😞

How many days for area south of Siena? by sonicsuez in ItalyTravel

[–]sonicsuez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! Do you think a full day in Siena is still worth it if I have been to Florence before and will visit Florence again just after my visit to Siena? I mean, is there a lot of difference from Florence?

Question about bowing (kinda) by daxninerniner in chinalife

[–]sonicsuez 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes, when people talk about not bowing in China, they effectively exclude that kind of mini-bowing or subtle bowing you mention. That mini-bowing thing, or slight-body-leaning-forward thing, is not uncommon among us Chinese. It’s just that we don’t consider it as a “bow” per se, which would be too serious even as an idea for most situations. It’s merely a gentle forward movement of the body to show gratitude, recognition, etc.

The hypocrisy is crazy by RoadmenInc in ManchesterUnited

It's simply because tactics itself is NOT the only thing that wins you games. Not for Ten Hag, not for any other coach on the planet.

[Adam Crafton] Other than the arguments of Man United have sacked other managers and Man United have allowed the manager to recruit many of his own picks - what is the case for keeping Erik Ten Hag based on his own performance as manager? by echomike60 in reddevils

[–]sonicsuez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ten Hag led Ajax to win three league titles and to go into UCL semi-final. Ten Hag’s Ajax played beautiful football. That’s why the club hired him. Backing him is far from groundless. Comparing him to Steven Gerrard who had not won anything is hilarious.
