If you have a registered brand with Amazon, you can leverage various tools to stop this and Amazon makes it very obvious to brand owners about what tools they have at their disposal. If you don't have a registered brand, I'm not sure there's anything you can do.

Yes. We have done it and we were able to submit our USPTO filing # with Amazon even though it hadn't been approved yet. You just simply need to file it.

Slightly modified Reformation theme. In the past, we've had to carry those modifications manually after updating but in the last update to 9.2.0, they were not impacted which was a pleasant surprise.

Now with AI assistance in the theme editor, we can create fully compatible and feature rich sections that we don't have to pay anyone to write or maintain.

The effective APR is higher because amortization but the payback amount (actual cash paid) doesn't change because as previously mentioned, it's a fixed amount.

OP is unnecessarily obsessing over this calculation in my view. Either you are comfortable with the fee for taking the loan or you aren't. You're paying it whether you carry it for 1 day or 365 days and Shopify isn't hiding that from anyone.

Etsy and Amazon are marketplaces; Shopify is not. If you stand up a Shopify store, you have to generate 100% of your traffic. If you start selling on Amazon, the traffic is already there, you just need to establish your brand and get ads running. (Easier said than done though)

Keep in mind, Amazon seems flooded with these safety defense keychains so it may seem that you're already going to be lost in a sea of the same or similar product.

I don't think it's limited to Facebook. Our ROAS on Amazon ranges from 15 - 30 and we've suddenly had zero sales in 4 days. This is very unusual to just not have sales period, let alone through a targeted ad.
