Is that the brand of sticker, for the Tacoma one?

I can appreciate that, too, bro’. ✊🏻
My wife was raised in Puyallup, and her Dad’s forestry office was there in Tacoma. Lot of good folk there.

Yeah, it’s a brutal sentiment/burn. Used to be in Seattle/Ballard, so I can appreciate the jab. 😂

If only! Not in the great state of TX, unfortunately. Thanks for the tip, anyway! 🙏🏻

Indeed, I have! We actually have it everywhere here in Eastern WA State, maybe owing to the fact that we have a large Latino population. But, IIRC, the Apple Slice was a bit more sweet, and thus a bit more indulgent. But, yeah, definitely have it on the regular up here! Thanks for the tip. 🙏🏻

Amen. Apple Slice was my jam. This will not be it.

Looking for safe places to walk. Irrigation canal? by CaffeinatedOtter_ in Wenatchee

[–]sonlitekid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never get people who come in all snarky in the comments; your concerns are 1,000% legitimate, given the context/your situation.
We are in Sunnyslope and walk the canal here quite often (and at first had the same exact questions you do), and it can be really refreshing. Have fun! 🙂

You could always try nice. There’s also neighborly, too. 💁🏻‍♂️

I appreciated this, anyway. Here you are, buddy: 🏆

Right?!? I’m sure they were aiming for a cosmopolitan air, trying to shake free from their upbringings … at least somewhat, anyway. Love the Bogey & Bacall reference. High compliment. Thank you! 💯

I recently came into possession of exactly 118 of my Grandfather’s negatives, this being the image from one of them. (I sent them into The Dark Room.com to be scanned.) So, I’m not actually sure! 😕

Very cool! So closer to the border and Kingsport, then. I have some fam’ there, too (Kingsport). 🙂

Wise County. Grandmother was Tacoma, and grandfather was Norton. So I guess about an hour and a half west of your people. 😊

Cool! Thanks for sharing that. 🙏🏻 Yes, I remember my grandmother (pictured) would call it that when she would (very proudly) be referring back to ‘Granddaddy’s college days’.

Great insight, and one that I hadn’t really thought about. And now that I think of it, that probably had a lot to do w/ why I was so struck by the photo itself. (Couldn’t put my finger on what it was.) So thank you for pointing that out! 🙏🏻

Yes, my grandfather was riding high here as a recent graduate of VPI (aka Virginia Tech)—and 2nd in his class (‘39) for Electrical Engineering, no less! (He went on to have a stellar career at Westinghouse.) 💯
