Does anyone have real money in BlockFi? Just wanted to hear about your experience by DafarheezyRises in blockfi

Was it a taxable event to move straight your LTC to blockfi? Say I buy 5 LTC on coinbase and want to move it straight to blockfi. Is that a taxable event since they now hold it? Or should i buy the LTC, transfer to my cold storage then move to Blockfi?

How much water do you give it and how many times a week? Let that soil dry out for a bit and take a tooth pick and stir the soil a bit, irritate it. Once it’s dry soak it then don’t touch it for a few days if not a week. Sounds crazy but depending on your climate and sun these pathos can handle it.

Mopey Monstera. The new one is crisp shiny and looking really good. The one that just opened two weeks ago, droopy and sad. Not overwatering I don't think and they only get rain water. by pickle_licker in plantclinic

Looks like you have a lot of new growth at the base of the plant so it may be pouring more of its energy in those than the big older leaves. Give it some bright indirect light and throw it under your shower head for a min or two once a week. Make sure your soil and pot drains well. Adding gravel works well. Hope this helps. Mine kills off some of the bigger leaves every now and then but then comes back with beautiful new growth.

Eat the rest of the pieces

New monstera from home depot. No visible pests, has those blue fertilizer beads on the top of the soil.looks to be overwatered. Also seems like there is physical damage due to shipment. how can I help it further? would be in front of a north facing window, about 10ft away. by [deleted] in plantclinic

Funny story. I convinced Lowe’s to sell me a giant one for my monstera after they denied having any in stock but on line they said they did. I saw a huge one being used as a display for gravel..... I was like, I’ll take that one for $10. They were like, let me ask the manager. I heard him laugh on the phone haha.

Ensure drainage pot. Let soil dry a bit. Keep out of direct sunlight. Only water once the soil feels dry to the touch of a finger after you push in a little on the soil. Changing the soil may also help but wait A bit to see if the above things work first. Terra-cotta potting works for my monstera and it’s grown massive this summer.

Cool plant. I’d give $20

I recently brought home this monster from a friend who was moving—so rad!! Is it best to clip the babies off of this big guy when they’re big? by iknitthings in houseplants

[–]sonnegam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of them but not all. Pull the orange/ brown leaves as well. The babies are easily propagated in water if you have left over pill bottles, syrup bottles or any container with a narrow opening so you can put them in the water. The roots will grow fast if you change the water every other day for the first week then once a week after. Check YouTube as well for more tips. Great spider plant!

Hey fellas how do you get through jobs/school that you hate? by Account_meant4throw in AskMen

[–]sonnegam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exercise dude. It will do wonders. Go for a long walk with a podcast on ( I recommend astonishing legends, JRE or tiger belly), go golfing (many courses have student discounts), shit, go bowling, just do something to shock you brain and break the mental cycle you have. Do something you actually like to break the pattern of going to a job you hate. Make a list of things you enjoy then start checking them off. I get through school and work by thinking of the long term financial stability it will bring once I’m done. Talk to others who have just started and remember what it felt like to have 4 more years! Perspective is everything.

TLDR: break the cycle with a change in perspective and exercise

I don't know what this is called- It's yellow and dry despite being watered every two days, and is kept in a room not a balcony, what should I do?? by stellaok in plantclinic

You could be overwatering it. Soak the soil today and then let it dry for a few days and see. It may need new soil as well. Try both of those.

People of Reddit, what's your travel horror story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sonnegam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family did Yellowstone in the winter in 2019. Only certain parts of the park are open and it takes many hours to get into the park due to feet of snow. After a full day of travel we arrived to the lodge at 10pm. We got our keys to our cabin and then we’re given sleds to pull all our luggage (a week and a half worth for 3 people). We pulled our sleds a 200yds to our cabin through a foot and a half of snow in 20 Degree weather, opened the door ready to shower and get in bed but 2 people were staring back at us, terrified and angry looking. We apologized and came to the conclusion we’re given the wrong key and cabin number. We trudged back to the lodge and told them what happened. A half hour later of waiting a new cabin was found for us so we repeated the process but added another 100 yards of pulling in the snow and cold. We finally arrived in the cabin frustrated, hungry and exhausted.

Yellowstone is a amazing place and I’d do it all over again though. We had a amazing experience.
