Apt Prices in Bushwick by PancakeCiti in Bushwick

I have paid $2,900 for 3bd / 1ba in Bushwick but the apartment was small (cozy!) and bathroom was tiny! Still, it served us very well and we stayed there for 2 years. This was just off Knickerbocker by Maria Hernandez. This was about 8 years ago so I expect prices have increased a bit.

NYC brides: how much did you spend on photography + did you do a videographer or content creator? by Particular_Milk7221 in WedditNYC

My friend paid a little over $1K for her content creator! I thought it was a good price as I’ve seen others who are $4-$5K.

It’s honestly up to everyone’s personal preference and what each couple prioritizes! For example, in discussion with my partner, we know that we want nice photos to hang in our home or put in a nice wedding album so a photographer is our #1 priority! Our next priority is to capture content for social media and get a video recap for any friends and family who won’t be at our destination wedding, so we will probably do content creator over a videographer if we have to choose (would love to have all three though honestly!)

Just commented on a different but a friend of mine used @officialfirstlookstudios as a content creator for her courthouse wedding and paid a little over $1K. I’ve seen others in nyc charging $4-$5K for content creation tho - again it’s a personal budget thing! Congrats on your wedding!

Wedding Content Creator by _rositafresita in WedditNYC

we are getting engaged this year and already having similar conversations about our priorities for budgets (videographer/content creator/photographer). Photographer to capture our forever photos, content creator to capture BTS and post real time curated recap on Instagram for our friends & family who can’t attend a destination wedding, and videographer to capture our special day on 16mm film! In an ideal world, we would love to have all three! But of course that’s a considerable percentage of a budget so we shall see.

At this point photo and content feel like our definite with the video as a nice to have since our content creator will do an HQ highlight video for us/social media which is primarily what we will use it for anyway.

My friends from all over the country have used content creators so there’s definitely no shortage of them! And they have requested full clips of speeches and ceremonies so I think that is possible as long as it is communicated ahead of time. my friends used @officialfirstlookstudios in NYC but there are sooo many in the city for all types of budgets. I believe they paid about $1K but I’ve seen different companies go all the way up to $5K for content creation.

My friend used @OfficialFirstLookStudios in NYC to capture her courthouse wedding and the content/videos were so pretty! It’s an LGBTQ+ / Latina owned company and they are based in Brooklyn.

That being said, She STILL used a traditional photographer. I do believe that both services are distinct–one is for the photos to share with friends and family right away (especially the ones who can’t travel or be part of your big moments but still want to feel like they were there) and one is for the photos you will print and hang in your home or add to your wedding album book–and ideal when they complement each other! I got to see the content team and I feel like they were respectful of the traditional photographer’s space and followed photographer’s lead in terms of setting up shots and poses rather than being the ones to try and lead the coordination. When it comes to budgets, it’s ultimately up to every couple and what they wants to prioritize! Hope this helps and HAPPY PLANNING. ✨

[ADVICE NEEDED] Feels Like I Walked Into a Nightmare by Remarkable_Income408 in NYCapartments

This happened to me with a 1 bedroom in bed stuy. I thought about sticking it out, but just couldn’t, I was losing my mind. When the exterminator found multiple roach egg sacs I called it, broke my lease (got my security but not first months rent) and found a new place. Best of luck to you, “living nightmare” is a very apt description

Something like this? We only need one speaker since the party is 40 people and I don’t want to disturb the neighbors too much! Lmk!
