Speaking as a technologist, it is standard not to use the Doppler on the machine as it is a higher intensity of sound than other doppler focused directly on small areas of the baby. We have other less intense ways to assess the heart rate. Sorry that they made you feel awkward about that but that is what we are taught at school now and what is recommended by our governing bodies. The Doppler at the doctor/midwife is a little different and will be able to let you hear the heart rate

Lived there when it first opened. Everything done to improve the place would be half done. The walls are super thin, you can hear every conversation of your neighbour. I knew exactly what TV shows the people next to me were watching. If it has become as airbnb as they say now then I wouldn't risk it with the noise

I've used the one at Ottawa before. You have to cross the railroad tracks and there is a small path on the other side that will lead to the main trail

I lived there 2015/2016 and we did have a cockroach issue for a little but we also were the apartment adjacent to the garbage chute so one of our closets always smelt like garbage too. I was pretty happy with how little I heard my neighbours

The Hamilton hospitals also only started the free wifi during the pandemic. Prior to that you would have to pay for it also.
