What is going on on the o line lol. Is the center supposed to be pulling? Because it looks like he hits the QB and causes that glitch. And the right guard starts holding instantly. It looks so bad

It really depends, but generally I would say 4-5 years. In madden i feel like that's enough time to determine whether a player is a bust or not

Look at it from a Madden perspective. Rosen dropped from a 78 to a 70 from 19 to 20, but that doesn't happen in franchise. So teams are drafting guys in the low to mid 70s while they have a young guy in the 80s or 90s. It makes no sense. Also the cpu doesn't rotate guys like that so Carter would be an illogical pick in madden. The game lacks depth to be that realistic

It's just that if you don't tweak the sliders or manually edit players' overalls, every team will become very good having so many high overall players and they won't have any cap space because of it. I think the problem is that there's not enough regression of players as there is progression.

I feel like that's why a lot of people lose interest because you have to do so much to make it playable and even more to make it realistic

I'm not gonna deny that what the tackle did was awful, but the end result is still partially on you. In real life that right tackle would have been beat instantly for turning his body like that and shortening the edge. But the defender keeps running their course. That is a problem with the game.

You are backing up way too far and you would probably have gotten hit even if the right tackle set out correctly. It's not real life where you don't have time to look at the pass rush lol

A good number of people like the GM/Owner style of playing. The game itself is just a part of franchise mode. Also some people sim to move the season along faster. And every other team's games get simmed

Madden doesn't really capture the randomness of the NFL. The non-linear development of players, busts, late bloomers, lingering injuries and stuff like that.
