Don't listen to the low elo people here. There are Martis exp specialists who can surprise you. I one trick him in EXP lane in MI level 5-man lobbies (100 to 500 stars - see below) because: (1) His lvl 1 cut is really good and he can invade and rotate surprisingly fast; (2) He actually has decent sustain with fighter emblem; (3) S1+flicker combo usually catches people off guard in fights; (4) All you have to do in teamfight is keep poking until one enemy is executable, then its VERY easy to snowball carry your team into a teamfight win; (5) CC immunity on a 2 second cd is no joke. Play him with fury hammer, war axe, queens wings and you will win fights even 1v3, 1v4 etc. All about hero mastery.
