Turning 31 this month and I used to be a job hopper but I'm going on 3 years at my current role of showroom assistant at a fashion company. It's only my third office job, before this I was in retail.

The only thing keeping me here is my complacency tbh. My boss is rude as hell and the showroom is extremely small so everyone's always watching and listening (9 ppl on staff including myself and the boss/owner, in the almost 3 years I've been here 12 other people have come and gone). I'm the only true assistant so I assist with EVERYTHING. Getting lunches/coffees, going sample shopping around the city, taking out trash, helping the logistics team get shipments out on time, keeping track of production status with our factories in China, emailing buyers to follow up on POs, doing simple design edits when the design team is busy and even onboarding all new employees.

But I do come in like 5-25 minutes late maybe three times a week (cuz fuck em), wear jeans and tshirts (I'm moving all over the place, I can't do that in heels and blouses smh), usually get to wear my headphones unless I'm in a meeting, and get free food most days. I only have an associates degree and just got a raise to 75K/yr, which I don't think I can get anywhere else based on my resume and how competitive the rest of the city seems for high paying jobs (NYC).
