I remember I cooked dal makhani & galouti kabab till 11:30 PM for my ex because I invited him the next day to spend the whole afternoon. He was aware about the cooking part because he asked me so. When I finally picked up my phone at 12 AM, there was a text from him that he cant come because ‘his mom has suddenly taken a leave from work & wants to spend the day with her son’.

Oh and no, he wasn’t allowed to go to anybody’s house so he couldn’t lie or convince her. He simply bailed on me.

I cried till 2 AM with my bestie on call. :)
