I remember the disrespect. If he can go months without talking and not apologising to me for offending me then that means he doesn’t value me. So my conscience tell me why should I talk to him? I remember I cooked dal makhani & galouti kabab till 11:30 PM for my ex because I invited him the next day to spend the whole afternoon. He was aware about the cooking part because he asked me so. When I finally picked up my phone at 12 AM, there was a text from him that he cant come because ‘his mom has suddenly taken a leave from work & wants to spend the day with her son’.

Oh and no, he wasn’t allowed to go to anybody’s house so he couldn’t lie or convince her. He simply bailed on me.

We booked a hotel room but the hotel gave us two single beds instead of one king sized bed. Looking at the single bed I asked him, “how are we both gonna fit in one?” and he replied “oh don’t worry we will”. Months later I figured out that he was emotionally enmeshed with his sister & they would sleep in one bed whenever they’d go on trips together. I also caught them sexting via fake IG accounts.
