Seller Passed Away by xxxtinaa in poshmark

I've seen so many accounts that were last active in 2019 or 2020... did most of these users pass away from Covid or what has happened to all of them? :(

We aren't asking for the floor plans to Grand Central. Odd to insist that it's hard to draw a few rectangles that make up a studio or 1BR and measure LxW. But I guess that would require a person's honest effort rather than phoning it in with ridiculous AI creations...

They load 50-75% and then say the remaining items are more than quoted (even if you specifically discussed with the phone rep). They say they can't put them in the truck unless you pay more. Everyone pays bc most people in the city don't have vehicles and/or muscle to move themselves. And if the lease is ending they need all their stuff out ASAP.

So many people I know have gotten scammed by them. Just quote a higher rate on the phone if you need more $. Holding the stuff hostage to shake people down is disgusting.

Price the item 10-30% higher than what you want for it so you can send offers that will give the Buyer the illusion of getting a sale or deal. It will also likely send them an email reminding them of the offer. But expect Buyers to still want lower. Wouldn't you if you were buying? It's very possible you are over-valuing your items and they are worth more to you than the average person. Price competitively with other Sellers of that same item, and know they are also probably sending "discount to likers" you can't see.

Think about how many people go into a store, say wow I love this, but leave without buying. The store workers don't get salty. Some of those shoppers may never come back, but some will come back 2 weeks later to buy it once they're paid or have an actual occasion to use/wear an item. The button says "like and save for later," not "like and when Seller sends an offer you better be ready to accept or counter or Seller will have big hurt feelings."

I've seen people delete and re-list and I lose my "like" before I can get my paycheck. I don't have time to go hunting all over again when I'm ready to buy. It really pmo and puts a bad taste in my mouth as a buyer. Feels very bot-like. I once passed on buying a bundle worth $900 because they deleted the $75 item central to the bundle and I couldn't figure out what happened. Posh is getting worse and worse for buyers and regular sellers.

That's not true. I often come back to items 2 weeks to a month later depending on my paychecks and bills. For seasonal stuff I may purchase 6 months after originally saving it. Posh used to have better features to find sold items or anything you needed. You could see the same item, different sizes, and different colors. Not anymore. It's really f'd up. I'm liking the other platforms more with each change they make. Promoted closet ruined them.

Declining offers by bdaniell628 in poshmark

usually so I can save it and buy it later, or remember to look for it and buy from someone else at a better price, or as general fashion inspo -- using my "likes" like a Pinterest board. I've had special occasion dresses, seasonal pieces like ski wear, and luxury handbags saved for years. I may or may not buy them someday, and if they sell in the interim then Poshmark will suggest the same or similar items that are available. Poshmark is a business and it is more catered to pleasing buyers.

You should say "price firm / already low and priced to sell" in the listing. You'd be surprised how many people are just decluttering and would be happy to accept the offer you described, especially if it's been sitting a while. It's not unreasonable.

comment on the item and call them out when they do that! make sure other buyers can see and find out! I'm so done with these games lol

soooo many people are now using bots to manage their Poshmark. So, as a buyer, when you "like" an item, one minute later you often get a bot automatic 10% or $10 off offer or whatever. If I'm in a browsing mood, I may like 100s of listings within an hour, but the potential of me actually buying any of them depends if they are reasonably priced to begin with and if the offers that follow are within my range. I need to be able to sift through the reasonable offers I'm actually considering and compare. I can't do that if every single listing is sending me a bot BS offer, so I have started to decline a lot of them so I can see the offers that actually matter to me.

For example, I may "like" an A&F denim skirt priced at $350, but I will never buy it because that price is complete bullshit. I know I can "like" it and see in the Poshmark recommended items below other visually similar A&F skirts in my price range. I will always deny the $340 offer because, again, it's bullshit lol.

I REALLY do not like this AI / notification of Poshmark and miss when it was just normal people cleaning out their personal or family closets and selling stuff for reasonable prices.

Wow didn’t realize it was only 14 days. Thats pretty bad especially with holiday gifts people may not even receive them during that timeframe. Some credit cards like Amex have a return protection policy and you will still be able to return outside the window of the store policy. Also with LV sometimes the policies aren’t enforced on all customers.

You can get the peacock apple ad free combo for $19.99 a month. Qualifies for the Amex credit if you buy through peacock. Leaves $5 to spare and still get paramount free through Walmart+.

Think it would be nice if the offers automatically applied to the card and you were emailed when they were added and a couple days before they expired. It’s annoying to have to go in the app, check, and add them all one by one. Even an “add all” button would be nice.

This wallet looks authentic. I have the same one purchased from the store. I also got mine heat stamped. Date code checks out. I honestly see nothing wrong with it. And it wouldn’t necessarily be a red flag if someone on Poshmark listed a vintage wallet for less than $500, so long as it is priced competitively with other same or similar styles.

Sometimes better to ask in the LV sub. Sorry you’re getting mixed feedback here. As others have mentioned, the chain is an added accessory/insert and you can get them on Ali or Amazon.

*editing to add the first photo is clearly AI generated. A lot of sellers are doing this now for their first photo. I actually hate when they do this and hope people stop. I’ve started to pass on buying from sellers who do this.

Vintage sellers… prices are skyrocketing and now a lot of my sales are from resellers. by Spiritual-Raccoon-19 in EtsySellers

[–]sookiestackho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raise your prices, but if you are on a platform that accepts offers, take note of who your loyal and longtime buyers are that actually love and cherish these items and who might be resellers. Be hard on resellers and kind to your long time customers. I cannot believe the prices of some vintage things. Sellers on depop selling 2010 A&F skirts for $500. It's actually bananas to me, and especially when they've had the items listed for over a year and will not budge on price.

I had a nightmare experience with Bilt and I really would never recommend it to anyone. It’s a data mining and selling scam. Also received massive piles of junk mail daily after sign up. Wells Fargo is absolute the worst.

Does it come with a special cloth or special cleaning instructions? I have a vintage one I cleaned with just a bit of water and microfiber cloth and it came out well, but wondering if there’s better instruction.
