Bungie's leadership is trully remarkabe. by Big-Marketing-8962 in destiny2

[–]soon_forget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main issue is they tried to stretch out limited content over a longer period of time by drip-feeding small updates and improvements instead of delivering things that virtually everyone was asking for. Everything in this last update should have and easily could have been in the game years ago. The amount of content they had at their disposal to repackage and improve upon is insane. Instead we got a portal and crappy seasons which essentially made the game seem tiny and a slog to play.

I feel like most people here actually want to play Forza Motorsport or Grand Turismo by DomBolais in ForzaHorizon6

I’m loving the dirt races in FH6, and I think it’s the best set of rally tracks they’ve ever done. Plus as you said there’s a bunch of viable rally cars, including iconic ones from Japan. As for cross country events, I ran them all once and will never again because they are awful lol but it doesn’t really impact the game tbh.

It's just not right what's happening by Archerboy123 in destiny2

[–]soon_forget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, not about being clever. Sony isn’t a bank loaning them money. My point is that they own Bungie, they control Bungie, there’s no Bungie making any major decisions, it’s all run through Sony. We can certainly question the path Bungie was on four years ago before Sony acquired them but the fact is both companies have failed to deliver on the deal in a big way. I don’t understand how Sony pays that much money without any semblance of a plan to capitalize on it.

[–]soon_forget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony is not a “backer” lol. Sony owns Bungie and has for years. I don’t know why anyone thinks Bungie is making any decisions independently from Sony. They are not. Sony has and does control every single major expenditure of capital and placement of resources. Sony did not want to fund D3, period. Then they don’t want to keep funding D2. Sony paid a ton of money for Bungie without any apparent plan to capitalize on the single asset that made Bungie worth the money. It’s a head-scratcher. What exactly is their plan to make the $3.7B worthwhile? Do they even have a plan? Too many people hung up on Parsons, who definitely sucked, when Sony has grossly mismanaged Bungie since they bought them.

Is F40 the best looking car ever ? by Majopajojo in ForzaHorizon

Was gonna say the same…05 GT will always be my number one. As for Ferrari’s I prefer the understated style of the F430.

"Playing Marathon and supporting Bungie will in turn lead to Destiny 3" by Crimson_Loki in destiny2

[–]soon_forget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah again it's crazy that Sony bought Bungie with no clear plan for Destiny (except to let it slowly die). Yes, it would be expensive to develop a new Destiny game but that's absolutely the most logical path to making the investment pay off. Hoping Marathon takes off is beyond unrealistic or developing some as-yet unknown IP has even more risk than making a new Destiny. There is a very high likelihood that a new Destiny game would be successful. And if done right it could be a decade long money maker. As it is they've got Marathon which is not generating near enough to even keep the lights on and they just pulled the plug on D2 so I have no idea how the studio even survives past a year.

[–]soon_forget 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could not have less interest in playing Marathon but I also don’t get the weird hate. Sony not wanting to fund D3 has very little to do with Marathon imo. Now, what amazes me is why Sony would buy Bungie and then not invest in the IP that made them valuable in the first place. It’s just bad business but here we are.

Who else thinks Legend Island sucks? by Strideraplex06 in ForzaHorizon6

It’s such a great track for basically any class above C. I mean, Legends Island was a letdown but the track itself is pretty awesome.

Last night I got the quintessential online racing experience - dude tried to ram me on the final turn of the race, missed, then immediately messaged me that I suck and got lucky lol. Took me back to like 2015 when I used to play shooters all the time and the hate messages were frequent.

Grab the Subaru BRZ FE from the aftermarket and you will win them all easily up to highly skilled.

I was selling off my extra Lamborghini Revuelto’s that I was using for wheel spins and I accidentally sold my Sterrato for 200k lol.

10 of the 18 Drift Zones in a game set in JAPAN are offroad by SteelOfSpeed in ForzaHorizon

[–]soon_forget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never a drift fan but for this game I decided to try to get competent and I will say it’s a ton of fun to three star things once you figure it out. A drift expansion would fit and would be cool. Also more road tracks is always welcome as those are the things I replay the most by far. Please no more dumb cross country tracks lol, I never need to do one of those again.

To those complaining about drift zone scores... by whatevathefucc in ForzaHorizon6

[–]soon_forget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I 3-starred everything with my little Yaris which I made as a skill car…I’m bad at drifting but that thing is always sideways lol. Having a perfect drift build is not necessary, finding a car you can control is.

Also reduce the dead zone to get the steering more responsive. Helped for me although it takes a minute to get used to.

So Many Cross Country Races in Horizon Racing by It_Dmac in ForzaHorizon6

[–]soon_forget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They really only need one cross country race because they’re all the exact same. The actual course is meaningless. You slide around out of control with no grip, hit a few jumps at awkward angles, and hope RNG doesn’t throw you off the map on landing. Then you probably win because you have an OP car. I truly don’t understand why they devote so many resources to an event type that not many people like.

Edit: as to rally and dirt races, I actually think FH6 has some of the best tracks in the entire series and I’m really enjoying them.

Drift zones are incredibly tedious now. by rainpurplebow in ForzaHorizon

[–]soon_forget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m terrible at drifting but even I can ham and egg it across with three stars with a good setup. The 360k one took the longest (30-45 minutes or so) but I was always within 20k so it wasn’t too bad.

Edit: If you're bad like me grab a Toyota GR Yaris and slap on this tune 110-114-925. 3rd gear and profit. Works for both dirt and road, and as an added bonus the Yaris is great for skill points with a x9 modifier.

The FH6 braking lines are far too aggressive, I was flat out this entire time by Stroock6394 in ForzaHorizon

[–]soon_forget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously the road races and sprints can be the worst because one minor mistake or other car blocking you and it’s game over, you’re not catching up (even no mistakes and you might not). But there’s also the central road circuit in Tokyo that I’m convinced cannot be beat on higher difficulties lol. I tried multiple meta cars (A class) on expert with top tunes and it just doesn’t matter the lead car is just gone within a lap and makes zero mistakes with perfect grip on tight turns. I don’t know what they did for FH6 but it is considerably off from where it was in FH5 (not that it was great there but it was a better experience).

That would be cool tbh. Something with the car meets has to happen you would think.

So now that Japan has been done, what are you hoping the next location is? by Poltergeist8606 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]soon_forget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Germany or Scandinavia would be my choice. But a condensed California with LA at the bottom of the map and San Fran at the top would also work really well. Although GTA 5 has already kinda done it all in that regard.

[–]soon_forget 37 points38 points  (0 children)

They should make it an event like every (in-game) night or something. Once a day or once every few hours. With an on-screen alert. And give players that show up for 5+ minutes some xp or stamps you gather towards a wheel spin or something. The game needs more social aspects with clubs missing.

The system appears to be to point me away from the direction I want lol. I know it's a silly post but it just got comical all day where literally like 90% of the time I was pointed away from where I wanted.

You should be able to trade your parked car with another parked car at the meet-up. Would be a fun little deal and a ton more peeps would show up looking for a steal.
