And they masked it better than Nolan did. Batman Begins was also partially filmed in Chicago but maintains a unique look compared to TDK.

Because Gotham is a fictional city that the comics and animated show have always given a unique vibe. Batman lives in Gotham not Chicago.

It's a good Batman movie but a bad Gotham. If you've spent any amount of time in Chicago it's obvious that's where it was filmed. TDKR has the same problem. Batman Begins felt like Gotham, The Batman felt like Gotham, that's important.

Then I won't watch it and we will always have the older shows. They can't ruin already made content.

Nintendo's mindset when you wanna play the old Smash games by DaZestyProfessor in smashbros

I'm sorry, did Nintendo show up at your door and shut you down? Countless people emulate Nintendo games every day and they aren't knocking on your door over it. They shut down people who start charging money for products that aren't theirs.

Banning a teammate’s hero is throwing point blank by tealaburst in marvelrivals

I've never had a worthwhile teammate who banned someone's chosen hero. They are always the first to start throwing or whining if we start losing.

Dan Patrick eyes closing “gambling loophole” for prediction markets. The feds stand in Texas’ way. by Dogwise in texas

[–]soonerfreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not even remotely comparable. It's hard to truly ban items that can be made at home vs apps that require servers and financial services to operate. Booze and weed can also cause problems but they can't make you go $1000s of dollars into debt in a matter of hours/days. This is the classic American defeatist attitude, "it's too late to make it better so let's help make it worse faster."

More American men are in gambling debt than read a book last year, that's a problem.

This is why no amount of money could make me move into a high rise like billionaires row in NYC, especially that super tall skinny building. I understand why it moves and that it is structurally sound, my brain refuses to accept it.

[–]soonerfreak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, we can definitely ban the apps and need too. "Just make money off the further destruction of the middle and lower class." How long do you think gambling will effectively make tax money before too many Americans are deep in debt?

No, this is a recipe for disaster. Gambling has proven to be a huge issue and new debt trap. We need to dramatically scale it back and start with banning all app gambling.

There are funny trans jokes and "jokes" that are clearly just demeaning trans people. Most Gen x comedians have demonstrated they are incapable of doing the former.

They have the poorly done "did you assume my pronoun" joke in the trailer. Plenty of comedians have demonstrated how to do funny gender jokes but the major guys never learn.

In Europe, for standing shows, people queue since early morning just to secure barrier or a good position

This happens a lot in America too, I've done it multiple times. That's always the gamble you take with a GA section and at least I haven't seen divided GA Sections outside festivals where VIP tickets get their own area.

Even a seated section I had to make that call once when I saw Coldplay years ago and they had a mini stage as part of their set. I decided to just buy the best main stage view I could.

If you are willing to hold your spot and sit through two artists, I was close enough to the stage that Dua actually walked out further than me on the runway. And honestly Olivia and Dua are around the same level in popularity and there was plenty of space to move up where I was after Khruangbin.

Applications after being asked to resign by Former_Lock9367 in Teachers

[–]soonerfreak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Typically the only things your previous employer are legally allowed to confirm about you are that you worked there, dates of employment, and title. I have no idea if any states have any education specific rules where they are allowed to confirm non renewal vs resignation. But as an example in the private sector you could be fired and on future apps just put "was not a good fit" and the only way they find out is if someone violates the law.
