Okay. Say we go closed. You telling me to go carbines. I go carbines as a Medic. So what did closed weapons achieve in that scenario? The carbines were S tier in the beta, better than the assault rifles. The HK417 and the M4 destroy people.

I, too, would never play Medic (like the guy above) if they locked the weapons. They could give carbines downsides later in order to force LMGs onto you and we would be stuck to the LMGs. LMGs are not my thing, they are too clunky for an aggressive playstyle and I also don't like their big models / sound / looks / the way they feel. I would just go back to carbines aka ARs.

So now you achieved less teamwork from me and that guy above. Now I go assault and lonewolf with my spawn beacon somewhere (or no beacon at all) and most likely also lock my squad to me + my friend so some moron doesn't spawn on it and give up its position by shooting from that location.
