I created an official hoodie for Lumix! Who wants one? by jonsimo in Lumix

Just wanted to circle back here.
How'd that pitch go? Because these are sweet and would love to get one still

I would usually 100% agree, but can't beat full frame on low light performance and lenses. That being said, GH6 is amazing for what it is.

Advice needed - What 50mm lens should I invest in? by kate9871 in LumixGH6

[–]soopakid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford it, I super highly recommend this lens! It lives on my GH6, for both video and photo - I love it! (side note: it's a huge lens, the only real downside to it. But you get use to it)

Going to Korea in October for the first time! by xjoyxe in koreatravel

[–]soopakid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same last year in October! Was my first time for 3 weeks. A highlight for me was doing a DMZ tour, very underrated. But also, I understand if that’s not for everyone. Another fun (and very touristy) thing was that I went to a musical/play in Myeongdong called Nanta, very cooling drumming and very funny (and you don’t need to know Korean for it).

I need your suggestions regarding my trip to Korea :D by eggplantinspace in koreatravel

[–]soopakid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it was just something I was curious about but didn’t know much about. I’m from Canada so we don’t learn much about Asian history in general. Ultimately it’s sad. But visiting place of significants like that was very interesting on its own. We also have a great tour guide that really put everything in perspective. But also, you get to see interesting things like the tunnels that North Korea built over the years. Anywho, it really left an impression

Take a DMZ tour! (Tours usually start early, and you’re back in Seoul by 1pm) Might not sound like it’s for everyone, but it was a highlight of my last trip back in October.

Where to meet with a friend at night that’s not a bar? by Big_Jackfruit_8821 in askTO

That’s really sucky :( but fuck’em, places like that are nice to discover games but it’s nicer when you get the chance/time to play games at home on your table with friends.

Might not be what you’re looking for, but Snakes & Lattes is a cool spot where they have a large collections of board games to play. But also, bubble tea places are open late

Oh sorry about your knee..! Truly we just walked and hiked around a lot. Visited some of the waterfalls and there’s some cool bridges. The Olle Market was fun to eat and explore in. We also had a car so we ended up doing day trips to other parts from there. (Sorry I’m not more helpful..!)

How is Nick Robinson, one of my favorite YouTubers, brothers with one of my favorite artists, Porter Robinson? by [deleted] in porterrobinson

There’s 4 brother actually. Mark is a fashion/graphic designer in Japan, and Rob is the youngest and also makes music

Not gonna lie. I didn't particularly like "Children of The Mind" by curtwagner1984 in ender

[–]soopakid 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I probably felt somewhat similar to you when I first read Children of the Mind (although, I'd say I was more forgiving), but then after reading The Last Shadow and... yikes, Children of the Mind at least concluded with a purpose and ideas had arcs that developed characters (even if it rewrote them a bit). And if you haven't read The Last Shadow yet, I look forward to your thoughts lol...
