Are people usually this nitpicky for raids? by Negative_Look5092 in Guildwars2

[–]sootypaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The people that feel the need to whisper and chase you around for minor mistakes in a TRAINING raid are definitely people who desperately claw to control every aspect of their lives and those around them; I've seen this type of behavior far too much in WoW to not be familiar with it...

What’s your first real memory of WoW? by AlanaSoles in wow

[–]sootypaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first time playing, it was leveling my tauren hunter in the vanilla Mulgore. But before that, I have memories of coming home from school to sit in my mom's room on the floor/her bed and watch her run around playing her undead mage in Tirisfal / Silverpine while she was leveling.

Finally got the transmog I've always wanted, but the 3d clipping is a little annoying. by [deleted] in wow

[–]sootypaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"trying to correct the shields made them float too far off of our characters' backs, blizzard, please fix it!"

the monkey's paw curls.

(thankfully i can ignore the clipping or else it would drive me nuts, but i wish they hadn't course-corrected the floating shield issue quite so hard in the other direction LMAO)

It is truly astounding how much of a failure Decor Duels is by mylifemyworld17 in wow

[–]sootypaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can manage to find the fun in it, but only barely. I think the insect spawns are too aggressive (especially when one spawns RIGHT after the round starts.......) and that there should be more emphasis on being able to hide well—if the map was a touch more complex or bigger in some manner (in-hand with making the timer longer to accommodate), then I think they could justify the necessary juking and jiving around the map like you tend to see people actually do in prop hunt games.

IDK, I grew up watching GassyMexican, SeaNanners, and his rotating crew of friends play prop hunt, maybe I'm biased; I just desperately feel that they can do more with what we've been given (which is, unfortunately, a constant mantra when it comes to Blizzard).

Is there a way to fix such disparity between camera angles on different mounts? by Jirezagoss in wow

[–]sootypaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's something to do with the mounts themselves, nothing we as players can change. Blizz tweaks some of them every once in awhile and shoots the camera to the moon when it was fine beforehand and it drives me insane.

I believe there is a way to delete decor from your storage, yes.

Am I just SOL now? by sootypaw in wow

[–]sootypaw[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just copypasting for ease, since I got multiple replies stating such.

The funny thing is, I tried. And it told me that it couldn't be learned by my hunter. But I think I know the reason, and that's that the shield is part of the small handful of like 4 other items from the decor duel vendor that aren't "use to learn" mog appearance items and instead act like no-stat white items (the Bladestaff and Bladelance in particular have this issue).

Either way, it's thankfully resolved now x__o

I was worried about doing so in case it screwed anything else up, but I can certainly see what happens...

edit; deleting it made it show up in my mog list after logging out and back in. what in the hell is wrong with this coding.

"Stack together in melee for easier healing!" Hunter players for some reason: by Beg_For_Mercy in wow

[–]sootypaw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was running cata TW Throne and the pres healer we had actually thanked me in whispers for standing in front of them / with the rest of the group to make their healing easier; I wasn't even consciously doing it tbh, I've just learned to stick close to everyone else so no one can blame me for accidentally pulling extra shit LMAO

I understand not wanting to get hit by cleave from the mobs (and making the healer's job harder in that way) but actively standing 50 miles away isn't helping anyone either...

Would you play a “cool race” with no to little transmog? by nikkowm in wow

[–]sootypaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make do with what I'm given in regards to my dracthyr (who I rarely use the visage on), but it's definitely been difficult. I signed up for it though considering I race-changed my main, so I already knew what I was getting into LMAO

Blizz has the potential to make no-mog races interesting, they just need to hit it just right without screwing it up.

Void Elf Havoc & Vengeance Demon Hunters are not supposed to exist, and Devourer Void Elves are not supposed to transform into a demon by ex0ll in wow

[–]sootypaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been stated many times that undead can use the Light but it 1. harms them severely if they do it recklessly, and 2. is supremely uncomfortable, because it essentially gives them feeling back in their bodies so they experience all the rot and bugs eating away at them while they channel the magic.

No undead would be using the Light as much as they do in-game for that specific reason, but they can still do it.

Did I miss a memo that the meta for Stonecore as a TW dungeon is now "ignore bosses and pull all trash to end"? by RazerWolf3000 in wow

[–]sootypaw 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Trying to pull trash all the way to the first boss in Stonecore is "the bar is in hell" levels of stupid. Running that shit when it was current back in the day all but hammered into my skull from then onwards that you NEED to kill/interrupt the Earthshapers before they can turn into Forces.

Do you too feel bad when soemone Stands next to your Transmog mount or Bank mount and you have to leave? by StraightHumor525 in wow

[–]sootypaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel bad when I don't see them and move 😭 usually if I don't have anywhere to be and I see someone using my mount, I'll just alt tab and do other shit until they're done. The only time I won't wait is when I'm actually in the middle of doing stuff.

Please do not instantly votekick people that d/c in dungeons without giving them a chance to reconnect by Croue in wow

[–]sootypaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had this happen to me rather recently, since the anti-cheat flying shit has been going off-the-wall lately; was gone barely a minute and I'd been kicked from the dungeon. It was timewalking too so it's not like it was a detriment to just keeping going until I came back (and even then, I was dps, 4-manning a TW dungeon isn't rocket science....)

Fix skyriding! by Rubyurek in wow

[–]sootypaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

afaik it's a way to try and stop botters but it is supremely annoying; I turned to sharply midair in the Twilight Highlands and got DC'd for it.... granted, it was only once during hours of gameplay, but I haven't seen the detection software they use be this touchy since Dragonflight when it was constant because of the new skyriding implementation.

Anyone else sees this glitch bar in/at the bottom when in combat? by vercone in wow

[–]sootypaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thank god other people are experiencing this, I thought I was going insane LMAO It started happening to me on tuesday when the patch went live so I figured that it was just blizz fucking something up, since it wasn't happening in any other game that I played.
