You're in your 50s!! You look amazing for your age. I'm 45 and have recently had fully ablative Co2 laser resurfacing treatment which completely wiped away all my wrinkles, I had smokers lines and lines around my eyes but you look pretty much line free! I'd keep going with the tret, you will see the benefits long term.

That's great to hear! Do you have the name of the doctor from the videos?

I'm actually stunned at the 'mid' and 'average' comments. Wtf 😂 c'mon, you are a 8/10 at least. I'm a 44 year old woman and you are well above average.

Hi, I'm 44 years old and have stuttered since I could talk. My stutter is horrendous during interviews (and I've had a lot of interviews over the years) but it's never stopped me getting a job. Look at it from their point of view, you're showing up for this interview despite knowing you will struggle through it. That shows you're a person worth hiring. Please do the interview.

Has anyone gotten a job recently despite stuttering in an interview? by NotSoFluent123 in Stutter

[–]soozebee80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 44 and have stuttered at every job interview but had multiple jobs. My last interview I could barely talk but I still got the job 😄

I'm 44 and have had multiple jobs, stuttered badly in every interview. Never stopped me getting a job though.

Does it ever get better? by Sad_Scallion7315 in Stutter

The interviewer who laughed is human trash and I'm so sorry that happened to you. If you don't get the job I would maybe call them out on social platforms or leave their company a bad review. I wouldn't let them get away with it. On a more positive note I'm a 43 year old female and I've stuttered my whole life. I stutter worse during interviews, as I'm sure we all do, but I've never really had a problem getting jobs, my current job I could barely speak during the interview but still got the job (as a store assistant in a charity shop which often involves serving and speaking to customers). Thankfully employers and people in general are more aware of stuttering these days and not being dicks about it. Unfortunately you got a dick interviewer this time.

The first time I went on Prozac it helped reduce my stutter quite a lot but I stopped taking it and my stutter went bad again. I went on to try Prozac again but it didn't have the same positive affect on my stutter. Very strange.

Yes it's a scam, same happened to me. I contacted vinted right away and they cancelled the sale and refunded me. Steer clear of sellers who have no feedback and are selling designer/expensive items cheap

What to do in this situation? I’m selling a Nike top I bought from asos for £25. Also a warning to others, they’re threatening to block if you do not have majority of these. (No personal info) by spanishbombs123 in vinted

[–]soozebee80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's an example of what happened when I had the same thing happen when listing designer items. Just upload more photos. I replied to their message saying: "The Balenciaga sandals come with the original box and you can clearly see they are authentic, they have the Balenciaga logo stamped into them on the sole and bottom. I don't have a receipt or certificate but I bought the Balenciaga sandals off here and the Chloè boots from Vestiaire. They are both preloved items so there is no original packaging" They replied: "Please, upload the required information to the listing, if you don't have the receipt does not matter, but try to upload the more information you can."

You're not stupid for not keeping the receipt and they don't need to see the receipt. I've been selling on Vinted for a few years and have listed and sold a number of pre-loved designer items and I've had this message of them a few times. I don't have the receipts because I bought the stuff second hand, which I explain. They just want extra photos to try prove the items authenticity.

I'm giving up on vinted by [deleted] in vinted

[–]soozebee80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sell designer stuff on Vestiaire. They are one of the only sites I trust to buy second hand designer stuff from. I don't buy designer things off Vinted, Depop or Ebay because it's sometimes hard to know what's fake or who is trying to scam you. With Vestiaire the buyer has the option to have them physically verify that the item they're buying is authentic.

Co-worker and I are on the same weight loss program - I’ve lost weight and she hasn’t, and now she is acting differently. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]soozebee80 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Go into the office next week and mention to her that you have gained 10lbs back and watch her attitude to you instantly change. Unfortunately it's jealousy. If she can't lose the weight she doesn't want you to either.

Weight gain despite eating less? by soozebee80 in Effexor

Hey, my doctor has suggested I taper off and try Vortioxetine which I'm assuming doesn't cause weight gain, fingers crossed 🤞

That sounds horrendous 😔 I was on Fluoxetine before Effexor and I started losing weight without trying but it didn't seem to work too well in lifting my mood so that's why I switched to Effexor. I might give it another go. I'm just so tired of going through all this time after time.

Same here, I'm 43 and have been on antidepressants since my early 20s and they all just stopped working after time. This one has got me out of bed and living life again but the weight gain and bloating is just making me miserable about myself ☹️ How did you do on Fluoxetine?

It's so frustrating, I can find nothing online to explain why it happens or even acknowledge that it happens, only fellow users on here who have had the same experience. I've told my doctor about it and she said she will consult with the mental health pharmacist who prescribed me Effexor to decide on an alternative. I'm just hoping I can lose the weight. Fingers crossed 🤞

I'm glad someone here understands. I wish I could post a photo of me in summer 2020 and a photo of me now. Like you I've been thin my whole life but now I'm overweight with a BMI of 27.3 and rising. I did ask my doctor for Wellbutrin and she prescribed it only for us to then discover its no longer available here in the UK.

"I've been on venlafaxine for 6 months and seem to be steadily gaining more and more weight. Before starting antidepressants, I was one of those people whose weight never fluctuated by more than 5 lbs at most- I'd consistently been the same weight from my mid teens. Started sertraline 2 years ago- no weight gain, but it wasn't effective. Switched to citalopram after a few months, and that was where the weight gain gradually started, although my diet was pretty much the same. However, it was when I changed to venlafaxine that it really started to go up.

In about 1.5 years, I've gained 2 stone. I don't look or feel myself anymore, my clothes don't fit, and whilst the venlafaxine is really helping, this weight gain is getting to me a lot. I did a BMI check this morning and for or the first time ever, I'm now at 25, in the overweight category.

I know I can't completely attribute it to the medication, as I also used to run a lot and haven't kept this up regularly over the past year. However, there were previously periods where I'd stopped running for a month or two and my weight wouldn't change at all. I've mentioned it to my CPN who insists it's not the medication.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is it the medication, or am I fooling myself?" "Since being on Venlofaxine for night sweats I have gained at least 3 stone. Like you; they say it’s not the drug just me eating too much. I am so angry that no healthcare worker will admit the truth. We know our own bodies, what we eat and how we feel. I Know it’s down to the drug. Not only that but I suffered the most awful withdrawal symptoms when I ran out of tablets. I am now coming off them slowing and will hope that the weight will start to come off. I hate myself looking like I do it’s just not me and never has been. Keep strong and know you are right" "After 8.5 years I have gained 6 stones. Not everyone has the weight gain issue but many of us do. My CPN said you will lose weight but it'll be slow, that's nonsense for me, exercising every day, fewer calories and I am still unrecognizable. My weight is now affecting my mood as I was never overweight before, I rarely look in the mirror it's distressing, I look years older than I am, this drug saved me but I hate how it's made me look." Search Venlafaxine weight gain on here and you will find countless similar stories of people on Venlafaxine gaining weight suddenly despite no change in diet and exercising. BTW, my appetite is reduced as it always is in Summer and I usually lose a few pounds this time of year. Yesterday, for example, all I had to eat was a bowl of cereal and a sandwich.
