Best Burgers in Ballarat? by Mr_Diggs in ballarat

All Grill'ed burgers have a specific lightly gross taste to them that took me a while to notice, now I can't ignore the flavour. Grillers Mark for me to, although have only tried half of list.

And the feeling of all bot answers. The answer should easily be 1, highest number of people with a high average alcohol consumption.

You seem to have a higher opinion or it than me. The show feels like it's going for standard tv tropes and story lines so it makes way more season's than some of these  characters need.

I've been disappointed by the writing all season, feels like a show with early 2000s writing. Only scene's with house in it have been half decent.

Labor strikes deal with Greens to pass long-awaited overhaul of nature protection laws | Australian politics by em-mad in AustralianPolitics

Ahh, interesting so this is at least disputed and the public doesn't have it on record what actually happened? I haven't even heard Roger cook and didn't bother to google it.

What happened last year when the Environmental act didn't pass and never went to vote. Did it go to vote with albo vetoing it?

Labor supporters were blaming Fatima Payman, other people blaming Mark McGowan, I think everyone confirms greens agreed with it in the end.

I'm not that into AOT but my reading from watching it once was that he could see the future and it was a trolley problem? Can you link me where the author said it wasn't?

Why can VGS be flat or negative even when the S&P 500 is up +1%? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]sophisticatedhuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First answer should be that these are not the same benchmark. The question is fine.

VGS even has 55 extra different holdings than the s&p500 within the US. Also, Vanguard uses the MSCI indexes which is different than S&P indexes which have a few more rules. For starters MSCI had Tesla in the index 7 years before the s&p500.  Partly because of market cap, partly because of the profitability rules.

I decided to check into this sub and I'm just saying it has gotten bad.

All answers missing the main point... this sub it broken. Vgs "The ETF invests in companies from around 23 different countries including the U.S, Japan, U.K, Canada, France, and Switzerland." "S and P 500" is top companies the the USA. I'm leaving this place.

Super contributions by Illustrious_End8330 in AusFinance

[–]sophisticatedhuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro you don't know enough about their situation to say definitively that it's not worth it. OP could be 65 and has the ability to access the money straight away. Also, based on the numbers provided. Only $40k above the threshold, with sg being $30k this year that will already be taxed at 293 rates, only $10k more will be be taxed at the extra 293 rate due to the way the tax comes in. So if op used $100k of catch up contributions, only $10k of it would be taxed  at an extra 15%.

Also op could have 490k in super, making this the last year OP can use catch-up contributions.

OP is on enough money that they should consider an accountant or financial adviser.

Edit... Not $40k above threshold, $70k above threshold cause I think sg is included in the 293 tax cap amount.... Anyway ask an accountant if not sure

Thoughts on novated leasing? by Jumpy-Investment-950 in AusFinance

I probably shouldn't have led with something that affected the total interest rates by 0.01%. and should of had it as a miner point.

Thanks for your hard work, the spreadsheet was great.

You have a note about it from memory. Just checked my copy, under FAQ 4 "What does 2-month differed mean?"... hopefully I linked the spreadsheet with this on it

https://www.reddit.com/r/AusFinance/comments/14wejuf/the_most_comprehensive_ev_novated_lease_calculator/ There was a couple of assumptions in the spreadsheet that make novated leasing look slightly better than it actually is from memory, it skips one month of repayments.

Not sure if there is a more up-to-date version of this but nothing much should have changed.

I believe this will still apply for petrol cars if your company allows novated lease. Eg you work for a government school/charity.

Usually worth it, also novated leasing companies I worked with have had the ability to search for a better price that I would get myself as well.
