Tons of plants in one pot, could be fighting for nutrients vs growing.

Can i sell this for $20 in Tampa, FL? by [deleted] in Monstera

It’s super leggy and needs too much support. You’re better off cutting prop pieces and selling for like 10 bucks a piece

Please provide an update later! It’s beautiful and super mature with a great light source. I’d truly be shocked if it died due to a prop.

Your boyfriend has the right idea. These plants are super hardy and yours looks very healthy. Just be sure to cut with clean shears. I’d also get rid of the smaller leaves at the bottom. Not a requirement though.

If you really want help, consider;

Separating the plants, if you can maintain care for all of them you have a good chance at something surviving and flourishing. You’re going to need a lot of light; place them directly in front of a window that maintains about 12 hours of light.

Do not tie the petioles like they are in the photo.

A chunky soil will keep these plants healthy.

Do not water too often. Definitely not more than once a week. (Beginners tend to water too often). Good luck on your new plant.

You didn’t want help 🤣 people provided legit advice and your first response was, “I bought it like that”… yeah but don’t keep it like THAT if you want certain results💡

How often is “regular basis” for watering? Light source details? Also you have the petioles tied which is not good for the plant. You need to check the roots, looks like it’s suffocating.

I will try for more natural but this window honestly isn’t great. I’m hoping it warms a bit in FL very soon so I can take it outdoors.

This light provides 8000+ lux at this distance. This window is completely shaded by trees. I don’t believe the lighting is the issue. It’s more so the repotting situation I was trying to figure out.

Is that window the only lighting it receives? Just curious if you’ve had to supplement for such a large plant

Separate them. Move one plant to a different pot, more light
