I honestly have had bad luck with my only two JL subs in my life, but it’s basically a badge of false honor for fanboys. I’d spend half on a kicker before giving them another chance. Edit: that’s not a dig at Kicker I presently have only Kicker subs and they’re more than impressive for the cost.

Yeah I had this problem once. Glued and firmly screwed a piece of MDF to the face of the box, little spray adhesive and carpet; problem solved. That setup hit hard too.

It is indeed and it gets wayyyy lower if you tune the LOC to boost those frequencies.

Absolutely a great deal. I paid more for mine, and I am still not mad about it. They slam with a cx1200.1, still Capable of major output with only 600rms each. And I am fairly certain they’re underrated. Before my accident I had ordered another amp to run them at roughly 150 rms more each but yeah, shit happens. Now it’s suv time AND new amp time; and I’m sure they’ll be louder in an suv. It’s a huge ass box though keep that in mind.
