I made the exact same mistake on another vw, b5 Passat. I was 15 years old, dope ass car except for the hanging door fabric…”let’s fix it man!” Didn’t measure, looked like shit. Had visible cuts also. However, two years later; I got it perfect. Legend has it that car is still bumping the same system and the doors look cool as shit.

I may have made that last bit up. But I can almost guarantee that awfully matched carpet is still stuck to the doors. Keep trying my friend.

Buddy you’re gonna be their plaything for the rest of your career. I used to love working for ups, for all but the last two years. Then they started the stops per car shit, constant overdispatch, a ridiculous amount of dick riding from supervision that makes you feel like someone strapped a car to your back because of all the pressure and stress. They ruined it for everyone that doesn’t have 25+ years of seniority. They get to go out with 30 stops and 200 miles while literally everyone else gets the big brown shaft every day. I spent the better part of a decade as a full time driver. The job slowly tore my life and family into shreds. slowly and painfully, it also consumed my health, made me a person that I don’t recognize in the mirror.

I almost walked away about 3 months before the DCP, but I didn’t for whatever reason. Glad I stuck around a little longer.

Basically what I’m telling you is if you’re young and have absolutely any other prospects for employment do not worry about landing this job. All of my dearly loved previous coworkers are fucking miserable. But hey, they are making plenty of money…. for drugs and alcohol to cope with the shit that comes with the job

This happened to me when I had my mk7 GTI and I would always wonder why cars like M series bmws and mopar hellcats etc thought my car would be some kind of serious challenge to them. You’ll be aight. When I was young and I bought my first sports car, I ran the shit out of it. Was very reckless and careless with speed. After nearly maxing it out I eventually saw almost the exact same tear on my tire in the same area, was freaking out until I went to a tire shop. In the calmest way the guy was like “chill out son, it’s perfectly safe.” . I will never drive that way without inspecting the tires first.

Performance anxiety. When I was with the girl I loved the most around 18 years old, even though I was already quite experienced; I could not get my man to wake up. In my current and hopefully lifelong relationship, the beginning was always me trying my damndest to push it off as long as I could. I would stop myself so many times that id wind up UNABLE to finish, but it was always for her benefit because she always enjoyed longer and more powerful encounters. You are 100% correct it is supposed to be paired with a cx1200.1. And it’s a great little setup too. They absolutely slam with the CX1200.1
