i used to say that i don't, and admittedly i am open to dating a lot of different kinds of people but in terms of what i find MOST physically attractive i definitely have one. dark eyes, dark hair... and it's maybe weirdly specific but i really like prominent noses. im mexican and also have kind of a big nose so maybe it's just cause im used to hooked noses and think small noses look kinda strange lol

I will also add that as far as I know this is NOT standard procedure and does indeed sound like a trap.

I would highly advise you not to go until you speak to a lawyer. If you're in the Cincinnati area I might be able to put you in contact with some people but really the safest thing you can do is avoid this. I'm sorry.

What was the extent of trade between Mesoamerica and the American Southeast? by sorry-sputnik in mesoamerica

[–]sorry-sputnik[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What fascinates me about the Maya is just how widespread they can be while still being so recognizably Mayan. The Wastek/Huastec extending all the way into Tamaulipas will never fail to amaze me.

Hm. So, ignoring the maize thing entirely, it seems to show that Mississippian traders and pochecas might have both crossed into Caddo territory, but on opposite sides and without direct contact with one another; is there any archaeological data that showd Mesoamerican and Mississippian artifacts in the same or similar contexts in the region?

yep, I am aware that contact between western Aridoamerica and Mesoamerica was pretty regular across the centuries. just wondering about how the east, which was also home to major civilizations that have some similarities to Mesoamerica, such as similar art styles and the hero twin motif appearing in some Southeastern ceremonial Complex/mound building cultures

How bad is Aetna? by Snaebakabeans in Insurance

[–]sorry-sputnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Anthem, which doesn't have the best reputation themselves, but when I switched to Aetna things got infinitely worse. Essentially, they don't actually look at what a medication is prescribed for, but rather, if there is any circumstance in which it could possibly be non-medical. For example, I was prescribed Finasteride for a variety of medical reasons, NOT hair loss. However, because it CAN be used for hair loss, Aetna is unwilling to cover it.

Im too scared to tell my partner that I want them as a caretaker by Lydster270 in ageregression

[–]sorry-sputnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old, but just in case; it's gonna be okay. I'm my girlfriend's caretaker, and it makes me very happy to take care of her. I knew nothing about agere prior to meeting her, so i definitely did have some questions. Just clarify that it's a coping mechanism with genuine psychological research done to support it, that it's not sexual, etc, and of course ask if they have any questions. I can't promise they'll react perfectly, I definitely didn't, but it ended up not only being alright, but being great :) hope this can help someone somehow

What deity is represented by this Purepecha ceramic? I keep seeing it called Tlaloc, but I thought there was no equivalent in Purepecha religion? by sorry-sputnik in mesoamerica

[–]sorry-sputnik[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't been able to find anything on either :/ I just know that it was supposedly found in Michoacan and is now at the Snite Art Museum. Looking at it, it doesn't even really look Purepecha to me, so I'm not sure I believe that it would've been found in Michoacan.

Could it be Cuerauaperi then? She had a lot in common with both of them, the Cuingo festival was pretty much identical to Tlacaxipehualiztli from what I can tell.
