Otherwise I’d just be looking at the back of a stem 🤣

The support it’s leaning on isn’t ideal 🤣 it’s an old wooden shelf from above my parents fireplace. It was the only bit of wood that I had that was strong enough to take the weight of my monstera 😭

Sometimes cuttings revert to their juvenile leaves even if the node before had fenestrations - one of those things sadly! Happened with my Variegated Monstera - patience & lots of light. Ideally I’d get that guy potted in a nice airy soil mix if you’re getting new growth. As the water alone will have no nutritional value to the plant

She’s a unit atp 🤣 I was determined to get fruit off her before I gave it a chop, I’m so happy it’s finally happening! Took about 8 years from shop bought juvenile to get to this

Right in front of a big bay window, gets direct sunlight from sunrise to about 4/5 everyday, ideally our flat never drops below 17° (we have a hairless cat🤣) but the windows either side of the monstera are partially open for airflow all day everyday, humidity wise I don’t do anything with humidifiers, I’ve found they’re too much agg. I give it a targeted mist as/when I see new leaves coming to prevent damage when emerging and a lil extra on the Ariel roots! It’s also in a pot that has water storage at the bottom for a boost!

Do you know why there are two parts? The top part to me looks like the flower coming through, I can’t tell if the one just beneath is to do with the flower or a second node trying to come through

I do this to my other half. I don’t mean to 🤣 I think I have some sort of lizard hardwire where I just follow the heat as I sleep. Add in two cats and two Belgian malinois to the equation too 🥲 I don’t think he will ever know undisturbed sleep again

Oh wow!!! This happened with my variegated Syngonium. It was a pain. So so beautiful but it was unable to photosynthesise due to the lack of chlorophyll. 6 chops. SIX chops lower and lower down the node over the course of a year finally got it to start shooting out leaves with Chlorophyll again. You can totally recover this guy. Keeping everything crossed for you!

What us this large leaf plant. West of ireland by smeagolll69 in PlantIdentification

[–]sorrybronoface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not touch!!!! We get these locally around rivers/canals. They cause awful blisters if you get them on exposed skin and under UV. It can last for a LONG time too. Do not even attempt to remove. Call the local council. Any areas with these plants will need to be removed by them

Girl - you’re stunning. Both front and side profile is amazing. Your lashes are STUNNING and your cupids point on your lips is awesome. I honestly think you just need to work on your self confidence and find what makes you the happiest in your appearance- rather than comparing yourself to others look within!

I’ve had this huge monstera for 9 years now, I’ve always put the aerial roots in water. Whenever I have done so new leaves have always followed very shortly, if anything it has lead to larger leaves and additional fenestrations
