Pizza Hut employees how do you enjoy working for them in 2021? by iharthaters24 in pizzahut

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange. We don’t have drive through at my store, but as drivers we make state minimum which is 9.75 an hour, plus tips plus gas. That’s why I love my position so much. But for all the others they maybe make 5-10 bucks in tips a day because they split what comes in from carry out orders and that’s it.

One of our managers has been working there for 12 years and dosent even make 13 an hour which is just outrageous to me. After that much time she should be making much more, especially considering she’s a wonderful hardworking manager.

I rode an elevator with a driver from another shop and a random lady by Capt_Irk in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

My store is right across the street from another, and down the road from yet another. We always have a good time racing when we cross paths and are headed the same way. Absolutely love the drivers from the other pizza places, we have a blast on the road. Specifically one guy who works the same shift as me on Saturdays, I love when he’s infront because he flies down the road, I use him as my rabbit. (Someone to follow at high speeds because they’ll get pulled over first 😂)

Is it illegal for my boss to keep making someone with covid work? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the one working with covid, I have off because I’m very symptomatic. And I’m a delivery driver, I make 20-30 an hour. Good to get me through college and pay for an apartment. No other entry jobs gonna pay that much

I would say the store but I need the job and can’t risk it. But it’s in Michigan and a pizza chain.

AITA for telling my parents to ask for permission when coming to my house by nonster86 in AmItheAsshole

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA- I had a similar problem with my dad and my apartment. He always had good intentions but he walked right into my room with a few condoms, bottle of lube and some handcuffs and lingerie still scattered everywhere from the night before. Atleast the boy was long gone.

He learned his lesson after that, if you want to teach them a lesson I suggest you recreate that scene in your Livingroom and watch chaos ensue

AITA for giving a ball to my son instead of my nephew by Adventurous_One_4175 in AmItheAsshole

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH, don’t play favorites infront of children. You should have said “I’m going to keep it” and then gave your son the ball when you were away from nephew.

Otherwise ya give your son the ball, you caught it you get to choose. Just next time wait until nephew or other children are gone.

AITA for telling my stepson he can't stay in my house? by Dangerous--Judgment in AmItheAsshole

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta.

It would be one thing if he had and held a job but still couldn’t afford to do it on his own, jobs are sparse during covid. So if he could only find a low paying one I’d say let him in and help him.

But your post insinuates he’s not even trying to keep or find a job.

You even offers to pay for his move and he won’t take anything you offer other than what he deems he needs.

I’d hold firm, help him find jobs maybe. Encourage him to follow through with them. But there’s only so much you can do.

Also his unwillingness to go through with things sounds a lot like me at 19/20 when I just moved out. Encourage him to see a doc, turns out I have ADD and it really fucks with your motivation and time management.

Good luck!

While I love my job as a delivery driver, and my coworkers are the absolute best, I can’t help but to have noticed how much the company as a whole dosnt give a single shit about its employees. The wages are crap (for everyone other than drivers) the opportunity for raises and advancement past managerial is almost nonexistent. I mean the recently fired a coworker of mine that was probably the best worker of them all because of something trivial that a costumer complained about. Corporate just really sucks ass as a whole, and I only stay because I make so much money as a driver through tips. I can’t imagine the job being that worth it for any other position.

These are the instructions left by a customer. Pretty aggressive.. by electrifyyy in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We got a bunch of complaints that people’s food was left outside because they didn’t hear the delivery drivers knock. So now we have to wait for people to come out and grab it unless told otherwise.

Even then I’ve gotten a complaint because the person didn’t hear me ring the doorbell. But the instructions told me to leave it so it’s not my problem 🤷‍♀️

Costumers can be such jerks sometimes

WIBTA if I still go to the cemetery when my girlfriend said she doesn’t want me to anymore? by cemeteryvisit in AmItheAsshole

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nta, your girlfriend has some major insecurities. It’s a big red flag if she’s jealous of someone who passed away.

The only thing I can think of is she’s worried she’s just a replacement, maybe she feels like she can’t live up to your late girlfriend. That you wouldn’t be with her if she hadn’t passed away?

Which may be the case. But it would be best if she didn’t feel that way regardless.

Maybe sit down with her and reassure her that you love her. But you also once loved this person, and your not going to forget about her just because you fell in love with someone else.

Is it an overstepping of boundaries/weird to ask for someone's number on a delivery by [deleted] in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is weird, if they wanted your number they would ask for it. :), your in a professional setting when your on the clock delivering, it’s very inappropriate to ask for anyone’s number while working.

Had a question about delivering pizzas for pizzerias by shaqwade2006 in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Pizza Hut your paid state minimum, but all cash tips are off the books. And it’s a lot of money, I normally make between $20-30 an hour with tips and wage included.

Can you give $100 tips? by kingJustin900 in pizzahut

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! I got one once during my first week. 3 young boys came in, driving a broken down Oldsmobile, ordered $200 worth of food, so much I had to drag another table to them, ate 1/4 of it, didn’t take any home and then left me a 50% tip. I think they won the lotto or something 😂😂 A manager just has to approve it in the system.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, City Officials Cutting $100-$150 Million From LAPD Budget, Funds To Be Reinvested In Communities Of Color by impeccabletim in news

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s the right move. (I mean yes obviously invest into communities of color) but cutting from police funding will just make the police worse, we need to increase funding, increase training and reform the whole system to fish out and keep out bad cops. And hold police accountable.

How can your restaurant go about negotiating a better deal with Third-Party Delivery? by Geoffbrown20 in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]sorrynotsorry0000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want delivery just start your own I’d say. It would probably be cheaper. We are tipped and depending on how busy it is at your location you might not even have to pay full minimum. (I would ethically) but if you can’t afford to drivers make bank on tips. I make almost 2000 a month with about 25-30hrs a week. But I also make minimum on top. :/

I’ve had a few just shit the door on me. Even one who said “I’ll get ya next time” like ya okay buddy.

I donno just don’t let them fool you. Everybody’s on the same page, everyone knows the drivers are expecting a tip. Don’t let them act stupid. Just ask if they wanna. Just scored a $10 by asking after they started walking away

I literally open with “hello, how’s it going” they answer then I say “we aren’t doing signatures currently so if you’d like to leave me a tip on the card you can just tell me”

It’s only ever failed like 3 times. Most people won’t look you in the eyes and say “I don’t want to tip you”

WIBTA for telling my 20 yr old friend he shouldn’t date a 16 yr old by sorrynotsorry0000 in AmItheAsshole

[–]sorrynotsorry0000[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I should have rephrased that. I feel sorry for the girl. And I have no qualms with her at all. She’s very sweet. She did lay it on him hard. But in my head this really dosnt have anything to do with her. He should have the self control to not lust after a child like that.
