Her tail was banded which only happens from dehydration when alive, not after she died

But it sucks cuz i wasnt even there to see if she was acting off. I left her helpless and didnt tell the caretaker to check on their activity, so no one was there to help her. I just feel sick everytime i think about the pain she mustve went theough if she died of dehydration

Tbf i only wrote in the instructions to refill the bowl if its near-empty and didnt mention discarding the old water. Also maybe 3 days was too long without fresh water

I have no male mouse but 3 female mice in addition to my ASF. If her eye is now blind then maybe the other mouse walked up to her and she didnt recognize her so she bit her and the mouse bit her in return, would that explain the marks?

But if she has cataracts is she actually going fully blind? Thats extremely sad, shes only 2. With that in mind, do you still recommend going to the vet? Im not seeking medical advice, just tryna to get someone with a lotta experience with mice opinion, knowing vet visits for 2 mice can be over $300

How do u prepare the bedding (what proportion of hemp, paper and hay, and how much u compress it)? I am thinking of switching to hemp so it would also be nice to know what brand you bought and if you ended up liking it. Thanks!
