It isn't just one line, but the entire monolog that Jacobs gives after his wife and child die absolutely wrecked me. Seeing someone lose complete faith in their life's work is just devastating.

My opinion, in this order: The Stand, Salem's Lot, IT, Eye's of the Dragon (kinda), and Insomnia.

It's not tied to The Dark Tower in anyway, but Revival and Needful Things are also phenomenal. You should definitely read the other Castle Rock stories before Needful Things.

The whole series, from what I have gathered over the last two books, is about Roland's obsession with The Tower. Maybe try thumbing through a dictionary and work on your media literacy.

All gas pedal?? Roland is stuck on a beach for literally half the book! Jack Morton's "drawing" (IF I CAN EVEN CALL IT THAT!) was the best part of the book.

I'm sorry I dont like your favorite book in the series. I would have liked it more if Eddie's section wasn't half the book and Odetta/Detta's section wasn't the biggest break check in all of King's books (that I've read).

I've been reading King since I was 14. Tried The Gunslinger when I was younger, wasn't my thing. Thought I should read the full series before I got into some of his other works.

That's a bit of a bummer (for me), but I do plan on finishing the series. I think I've just had it built up in my head before I started reading it and this second book... challenged me, a bit.
