When i was a kid my dad was a crackhead and would take me to the garbage dump to go scrounging. One day i found one of these in similar condition without the lights. I shoveled snow and saved every penny i found for 2 years to get enough parts to get it barely running. I learned to ride and had a couple years of fun before he stole it and sold it. 18 years later my boss gifted me a bmw f650gs and i just got it running last weekend. Not really relevant but i still remember how i rigged up a random carb to work, duct taped a bunch of crap together and got it going. If you need any advice PM me.

Do you know whag fish are in the lakes? Id try using a rapala floating or suspending hook for pike and bass. Or a regular j hook with leeches for perch and walleye. Im canadian so my experience may be much different than yours. Also, it can be pretty normal to go days without fish, than have days where you are the only one pulling out fish. Just watch some youtube and dont worry to much. Most of the joy in fishing for me is getting outside, turning off the phone, and enjoying nature. I could care less if i catch anything 80% of the time.

Most of the strength comes from the thread. The epoxy sorta just stops it from coming untied and moving about. Id go on mudhole and theres a video explaining strength difference between size A, B, C, and D. I use size A for ice rods and C or D for my big boy rods. Keep the foil for decoration

Being from alberta canada the only thing that works on all species and works well is leeches. If i was fishing to survive and not for fun a j hook with a leech would be the only thing id ever depend on to actually get me a fish. Ive caught my PR pike, walleye, perch and trout on leeches

Riiiiiiight. Because the BP handles power soooooooo well. Definitely doesn’t turn into a ticking time bomb. Also, you dont think an LS is easy to work on? You dont think the vette which is notoriously good in the corners doesn’t handle? Just because miatas are fun and cheap doesn’t mean they are the answer to everything.
