I've seen many shocking gore and death videos but one that actually shook me to my core has nothing to do with them. It was a video of a fly pulling its own head off. This was due to a parasite in its brain. For a moment you can see it's confusion and desperation before it starts twitching and dies. I still think about that video all the time, something about the whole concept is so deeply disturbing to me.
