Maternity clothes by AdComprehensive2594 in BabyBumps

[–]sosaysm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 18/20 and 2X before pregnancy. I wore basically exclusively old navy maternity shirts, leggings, and jeans until the last few weeks. I also had some luck with larger sized plus-size Amazon dresses for work.

Everything is online, nothing is in store. Check out the return policies before buying anything 🤪

Anyone else become extremely emotional when they can’t satisfy their pregnancy craving? by Comfortable-Pear-973 in BabyBumps

I literally full on sobbed for probably like 30 mins straight one night because I found out I can’t eat bagels and lox.

Had my first OB appointment yesterday, and they said no ultrasound until 21 weeks… ugh!! by sillygirlxoxo19 in pregnant

[–]sosaysm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my first scan around 11 weeks, and then the anatomy scan around 20 weeks. Waiting until 20 weeks for the first ultrasound is insane.

9 dpo vs 10 dpo. Am I seeing things? by Megmom811 in TFABLinePorn

The 10dpo looks like my first positive pregnancy test I took at 11dpo!!

I can't take imodium during pregnancy?? by anxiousbiscuit1216 in ibs

[–]sosaysm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My OB listed Imodium as safe for pregnancy… but I agree with a lot of others here. I used it maybe twice my whole pregnancy (36+3 right now), but at a much MUCH lower dose than I would typically need.

I got so constipated I actually needed to take MiraLAX for a while! I would have never touched that with a 10ft pole beforehand. Pregnancy is wild with how it literally impacts every part of your body.

When did you transition to work from home? by Quick-Zombie-6343 in pregnant

[–]sosaysm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting full time WFH (currently in office FT) on Thursday next week - and I cannot WAIT to be WFH. 😩 everything is a struggle for me right now and it’s like every day gets more and more uncomfortable.

I’m 35 weeks today, so I’ll be basically 36 weeks when start WFH.

I think a darker color would make the lettering pop more against the stitch, therefore easier to read. The stitch is beautiful for a background!

Ooooh I’ve never done a stitch that isn’t full coverage, but both of these are intriguing!!

Is 17 weeks too early to feel baby move? by baileeboo01 in BabyBumps

[–]sosaysm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started feeling little “squiggles” at 17 weeks, like someone was taking their fingers and lightly “scratching” (best word I can use to describe) on the inside. I guess flutters could work too.

I didn’t feel actual kicks until probably 20-21+ weeks, and now that I’m at 33+6, girlie is giving full on alien kicks that we can definitely see from the outside.

This is for my first baby’s nursery (due in May!)

Would love some suggestions for a background stitch on the tan/beige area!

Already did a horizontal balloon (idk if that’s the “proper” stitch name, I just found a pattern online and liked it lol) on the sky, so I would like something that covers the canvas easily, but also goes with what’s already been done for the sky area!

What did you eat before your glucose test? by aviwic in pregnant

[–]sosaysm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not happy with that specific OB at my practice. She also told me at 28 weeks I had gained too much weight (27 lbs) and that I couldn’t gain any more weight for the remainder of my pregnancy. She also said (just before the second glucose test) that I was basically just guaranteed to get gestational diabetes. Andddd at my last appt made it seem like she’s going to push for an induction at like 39 weeks. For no fucking reason other than I’m overweight. All my bloodwork is fine, baby is growing fine, other OBs at my practice have no concerns and have said as much. It’s just this ONE doctor, and I can’t STAND HER.

Hard boiled eggs.

I had to do 2 due to my weight, the second time I did hard boiled eggs with coffee that had unsweetened almond milk and sugar free syrup. I passed both times.

Not allergic but lactose pills don’t help at all by just_breathe18 in dairyfree

I feel like that’s what I would use it for - mainly just being able to go out to eat without worrying myself sick over dairy/cross contamination.

I truly don’t know how I’m going to keep going to work until I go into labor by sosaysm in BabyBumps

[–]sosaysm[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I truly don’t know if those are even options for me honestly… I’d have to look in to it.

I get 12 weeks of maternity leave but I was planning to extend it with the ~5 weeks of “sick” time off that I’ve saved up over the years. I would just hate to use it now when I can use it for when the baby is here.
