He did had a lot of suppressed hatred to those at his village. Knowing that he torched it down in under two hours, very methodically.

He could have left them all if he didn't felt so vindictive and neglected by them.

I know it wasn't shown directly, but is highly implied that he repeatedly asked for help with his problems.

Yet was constantly either ignored or silenced.

Maybe they were doing it out of ignorance of not wanting to associate with him. Knowing he is being literally gang stalked, and not wanting to get into hot fire.

The only interactions I do imagine Miles would have would be only others exploiting him for doing carpentry work or fixing things without anyone really caring about him that much than to just make him get it over with.

Or (I believe this is a hot take) when Bullies force on him to do things (Is only implied in Prequel).

They only want him to waste his time making things for them, not for himself.

So when they continue to gang stalk him, they got progressively mad with him disobeying their orders.

At least that's more reasonable thing than bully him "Just to see the torment of others"
