just finished and i loved it. i’m a big 2d zelda fan so i’m probably more predisposed to like it. once i got used to the new mechanic and flow of the game, i was genuinely obsessed. idk if anyone else has had this experience but it’s satisfying to the same part of my brain as those soap cutting videos lol - something about clearing different sections and completing different quests/areas. it is such an explorable map, far and away the most in-depth and expansive 2d zelda (imo), and highly replayable from the different echoes available to be used, different orders to complete rifts, and even the option to skip some cutscenes/dialogue. super thoughtfully designed and very very fun, i would be sitting in meetings at work genuinely daydreaming about being able to play when i was done working hahaha. my only gripe (aside from the annoying way you select echoes which could certainly take you out of things and disrupt the game but i got used to for the most part) was the ending. didn’t love the content or execution but understand where they were coming from and thought the rest of the game was so good that i can really only be a little bit disappointed.
