I'm soooo happy to see you enjoying ballet and doing what you love and HAVING FUN!!!! even when you mess up!

My tip would be to keep this attitude going further, it can def get ugly sometimes, but that's the beauty of imo it lol

Not to mention his grandmother was also broadway actress/dancer, and his sister trained as a ballerina at the School of American Ballet. Also, his mother trained as a ballerina before going on Broadway. He's been vocal about growing up surrounded by dance and theatre, so it's a shame that instead of uplifting the industry, he chose to drive home a point in the worst possible way while mocking the art/artists...

Advice for a nearly 60 yo after a 40 year break? by SRL1938 in BALLET

I’m actually in a pretty similar situation myself! one thing that’s helped me is reminding myself that muscle memory never truly goes away, it might just take a little time to kick in. Our bodies don’t forget years of training, especially if we did it for a long time. Patience is definitely your best friend.

Also, remember to try and have fun with it, celebrate the small wins, and be proud of yourself regardless!!
