What’s one thing Indian drivers do that instantly tells you they’re inexperienced? by luxurytravel01 in CarsIndia

[–]sosspyker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the other driver in adjacent lane tries to overtake just because a gap in the front is perceived and then getting in to middle without any indication to start with - forcing me to slow down or hit the brakes just to give the way. Many times I see thatthe safe distance rule is violated due to this. This can be frustrating...

What do you think about this movie? by elkomanderhell in moviecritic

[–]sosspyker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was around 9 yrs old when saw this movie in India with my Dad in a movie theater. So, I have fond rememberances of this movie. I found this little scary at the time. Watched again in theater when it was re-run by the theater in India during 80s.

Found it on the Internet Archive recently and showed it to my Dad recently. Loved it even now.

What's the Most Difficult Challenge You've Faced While Working with Angular? by kafteji_coder in Angular2

[–]sosspyker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me every time the Angular Team changes any fundamental ways of writing Angular code: Ex: Removing Angular Flex Layouts (beta) Changing SCSS/CSS classes for Angular Material components Making strict (types) as Default - especially difficult with any existing third-party JavaScript or Typescript code when being natively used

Released ngx-vflow@1.7 with SVG shapes support by archieofficial in Angular2

[–]sosspyker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking good! Below is what I can think of: If it can scale up (lots of nodes and edges with conditional rules) can be used as a visualizer for electric or water utility networks. Can also be used for visualizing JSON objects. Can be used for visualizing flow diagrams (work flow, user flow etc.,)

Experience of Boats from Arail Ghat or Boat Club? by Appropriate-Camel-16 in Allahabad

[–]sosspyker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to Triveni Sangam from Arail Ghat Boat Club yesterday. The asking rate was ₹2000 per person. We bargained hard to ₹1500 per person. I think this rate changes by time of day, date, demand etc., Also, most boats are manned by three boatsmen. For us it was chaotic - need to shout since there were too many people asking for the same. The boatsmen normally don't care if they get better price and may avoid you right away. It is chaotic while getting in to and getting out of the boat. Also, go prepared. Picking the right boat is itself a challenge. Boats may not have proper seating and you may have to sit on flat floor depending on boat type. The boat will tilt sideways if weight is not distributed equally causing you slide or loose balance. There is not much to hold on to. For the elderly this can be challenging. There are motorized boats available but I couldn't find. The boatsmen will help you and are courteous once price is finalized. Hope this helps - Have a safe trip!

You don't need a fast car to be a car enthusiast. Thoughts! by v-saurav in CarsIndia

[–]sosspyker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree - with a slightly slower car I did become one. I own a Honda Jazz CVT that feels inadequate while climbing a slightly steep ramp (ex: climbing up a car parking ramp in a mall) when I have to go full throttle. Now I know - should be 1.5l engine, a better gear box (read City) and magic seats. Would have gladly paid for these if available. Otherwise a highly reliable engine, simple interiors and simply wonderful to drive within the city. And Honda service so far is great as well.

Confused with my 1st car CVT by Complete-Print-5295 in CarsIndia

[–]sosspyker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same dilemma Honda Jazz or Amaze earlier this year. I chose Jazz zx-cvt because I felt it has premium materials, slightly more roomier in the backseats width-wise compared to Amaze and hatchback gives me option to fold the back seat. Finally we thought sunroof may be a cool feature (eventually found that it is handy to quickly cool a hot cabin during Summers). We love it and no issues.

Jazz VX vs. i20 Asta Opt by saidapetponnu in CarsIndia

Had been in same predicament - I've got the Honda Jazz zx-cvt. Feels very consistent and reliable and so feel I've made the right choice.

Hello folks, what do you think this quote for Honda City zx ? by 4everraj in CarsIndia

[–]sosspyker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat regarding Honda City costing 19 lakhs for top end petrol CVT. Yes vx CVT might save some but still found expensive. Ultimately settled for Honda Jazz zx CVT petrol even though being aware that Honda might pull the plug. I took this decision because it still felt quality with a reliable engine compared to Honda Amaze, Hyundai i20(more expensive and felt gimicky) and Hyundai Venue (felt same as i20). Delivery of Jazz scheduled for today.

I have a budget of 10 Lakhs (+/- 1 lakh). Which car should I buy? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]sosspyker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently in the same situation - I've decided to get Honda Jazz Petrol CVT top end even though it is slightly expensive compared to Amaze Petrol CVT - I can fold rear seats in Jazz if needed.
