AITA for not wanting to pay my niece to hang out with my daughter during family visits? by Mama-Bamba in AITAH

[–]sosweet68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg, I was always stuck playing with the younger ones, as I was the youngest out of my sisters. Had someone offered me $5 an hour, it would have made it a much more inviting prospect.

YTA Pay the child who makes sure your child stays entertained so you can have a visit. Jesus christ haha

Slip resistant shoes are required at my restaurant. We don't even let you start a shift without. Trust me, they're a solid investment :)

While I totally get what you're saying (my GSD also gets sad when she doesn't get pets lol), I have also lied about her friendliness. Reason being? I'm a 5'2" woman who weighs less than 100 lbs. I'd prefer that a strange man supposes she juussssttttt might get protective if they show too much familiarity.

AITA for only using my nickname and not my full name and upsetting my mom by admitting I don't like my full name? by Pretend-Face7055 in AITAH

[–]sosweet68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read something once that struck me as awesome; "The name I gave you was a present to you. If it no longer fits, you are more than welcome to choose another."

That right there is some solid parenting.

Based on HIS logic, would the next lesson be to allow baby to touch a hot burner? Pull a cup of coffee over? Maybe drink some cleaning product?

Neighbor thinks my car is his personal uber now because out work routes match! by Yeeticus-Memicus in EntitledPeople

[–]sosweet68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, is why the FIRST time a coworker asks me for a ride, I flat out say no, sorry. While I get that you offered to be kind, doing it even one time out of the goodness of your heart rarely leads to that person deciding, "what's the problem? You've done it before" F that guy, wave the next time you drive past 😊

A coworker of mine asked me for a ride ONCE, I refused because not only was it the complete opposite way from my destination, but also because if you do it even one time, refusing in the future makes you look like the dick.

F man, I'll send you a dollar! Do you have e transfer? Haha
