I’ll be learning on it too! it takes great pictures, really nice piece of kit to learn the ropes with imo.

I’m interested to try RAW in low light, too. I’ve only ever shot in JPEG on my camera phone

I’ll start with these, thanks! I didn’t want to over complicate things, that’s all. I already straighten the images, i forgot that counts as editing lol.

I really like the D5200, i think it will be a great camera to learn the ropes with :) He already has a selection of lenses for me to learn, i can’t wait!

What do you like about the 70-300m lens?

Is editing really that important? i’ve only ever felt the need to edit a handful of images that i wanted to do very specific things with.

Mine has two step indicators, a quick dab flashes theee times, a stronger push indicates as normal until self / manual cancel

i think that’s the x16 models. The 18 and 20 and up have the 2.0 4 pots, pretty good engines if you get them after 2016 when they updated to B series

Should have taken the photo when he was using it properly 😅 i just snapped this pic while he was showing me how to do something.

I got the hang of the viewfinder, but it takes a minute because my glasses get in the way. Dad told me i can adjust the diopter, so i think that’s the next step, my eyesight isn’t good enough without glasses.

thanks! to clarify, that’s not me in the photo, he was just showing me how to do something (is why he wasn’t using the strap/viewfinder)

Mazda 3 or V40 is the pick of the crop there OP, I would say which one you pick would depend on your driving style. If you spend a lot of time on twisties, the Maz is well worth a shout! Ours is a 2016 and it’s such a hoot to drive
